Chipotle Mexican Grill

Used to be 5 stars but now it’s really hit or miss. Half the time there isn’t enough cheese in my quesadilla which is very unfortunate since it happens to be the main ingredient.

If you're in the Shakopee area or even nearby, the Chipotle at the Old Carriage location is absolutely worth the drive. Every time I visit, I’m reminded of why I keep coming back. The team here is fantastic—friendly, efficient, and always attentive to detail. They consistently serve up fresh, flavorful food with generous portions that never disappoint. You can tell the management has done a stellar job creating a positive, welcoming environment. Everything runs smoothly, and the quality is top-notch every single time. Big ups to the management and the entire team for maintaining such a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend!

We live in Chaska and go to this Chipotle over the one in Chanhassen and Chaska. Easily the best in the area. They cook the ingredients well, have a clean store, and staff are friendly enough.

Kid-friendliness: The way it's set up, there isn't room to move any tables or chairs around. So, don't expect to have a party. But average for a quick service restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is the best Chipotle south of the river!

We’ve tried multiple Chipotles in the area, and no one even comes close. The service here is consistently fantastic, the portions are generous, the food is always fresh, and the bathrooms and restaurant are impeccably clean. Whoever is managing this location, I take my hat off to you! You’ve built an incredible team that clearly cares about the customer experience.

We live closer to the Chipotle in Savage, but we purposely make the drive to Shakopee because we know it’s worth it. Every visit is fantastic, and we always leave feeling energized and nourished thanks to the high-quality, healthy ingredients.

To the other Chipotles out there—take notes. If you want to improve your customer experience, send your team over to this Shakopee location to see how it’s done. This place sets the standard for what a Chipotle experience should be.

We’ll definitely keep coming back regularly, as we have been already. After today’s exceptional service, they absolutely deserve a five-star review. Do yourself a favor—get there, check it out, and help keep this Chipotle going strong, because it’s the best one south of the river!

They are consistently very good! This location is SO much better than the awful Savage one that should be avoided at all costs. Much fresher food and better portions at the Shakopee location.

300% better than savage location. Tall Caucasian guy needs a raise. Super good customer service skills! Food is on point, restaurant is clean. Will drive the extra couple miles to come to this location!

Ordered the barbacoa bowl but got a minimal amount of carnitas and toppings instead. Server also failed to add the requested lettuce and sour cream. She was not attentive at all. Disappointing all around.

Location has improved significantly from where it was 2-3 years ago. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Much better location than Savage and Shakopee West.

I keep giving this location a chance to change my mind, but every time we come here the food is always bad. The burritos either taste bad or they completely fall apart. I come to this area frequently and love Chipotle, but unfortunately, I will not be coming back to this location.

I usually love this chipotle, so I specifically come to this location versus the other location located by the Cub Foods in Shakopee. The people working seemed like I was bothering them for asking for any of my requested food, my boyfriend and me said four times that he wanted brown rice yet was given white rice and they wouldn’t change it. I just seemed like I was not welcome nor were they happy with anything I requested. I always say please and thank you, I always tell people to have an amazing day. It just seems like the workers there had an attitude and didn’t want me there. Definitely will not be going back to this location, I guess we’ll have to give the other location a try again.

Issues with order and it's literally impossible to talk to a real person to get it fixed. Coupled with the fact this location only does online orders a lot it's really frustrating and tedious to get a solution.

EDIT: The automated response in less than 30 minutes further proves my point. What a joke of a company.

Burrito was completley soaked in sauce on the outside and falling apart. I didnt ask for any extra sauce either.The girl wrapping can obviously tell that sauce is spilling out of the thing and knows its gonna fall apart the second i opend it because there wasnt any chance of it holding together.When I went up to the employee and asked for a fork and bowl he then came up to my table. I told him it was soaked all the around the outside of the burrito and it was falling apart to the point it wasn't even edible. The guy looks at me straight in my face and says that's what I asked for. Can't make this stuff up🤣. I walked up and threw my 20$ burrito in the garbage that was directly in front of them at the counter. Don't waste your time walking into this establishment.

Ordered 2 burritos one was their normal size before they shrunk everything the other was half the size only difference between the two burritos was one had lettuce and the other didn't.
