This was my first time having Breakfast at Mallards, food was amazing and was not over priced, staff were very nice. I have had dinner and Happy hour at Mallards Shakopee many times, one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend this restaurant- the outdoor seating is very pleasant and beautiful.

Our experience was outstanding. The girl who seated us was dancing to the music that was playing. I think she was enjoying herself. Our waiter was prompt on each serving, and funny . I was trying to give him a hard time and asked him why a place called Mallard's didn't have any duck. No duck on the menu and no duck decor. At first he didn't know. But then he went on a hunt. I thought he went to find the manager to ask him. But he brings back a Mallard duck decoe under his arm from the back room. It was so funny. It was our 51st Wedding Anniversary and we had never been there before. It was a 40 minute drive from our place and we wanted to try someplace new. It was well worth the trip. We will be back. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Nice job MALLARDS.

We chose Mallards because they have a good selection of seafood meals. We had the seafood campechana as an appetizer and barramundi and mahi mahi for entrees. Our food was good, but not "delightful", which is what we always hope for when we dine out. For our tastes, both seafood items were a little overcooked and bland. The service was excellent. We enjoyed our meal there, but wouldn't chose it next time.

When booking on Open Table, it said there were only high top tables available left to reserve. When arriving at the restaurant, there were only 2 tables occupied. There were many tables and booths open. The service was lacking. Long time to wait for a server to take an order , and a long time to get it. One time she actually forgot to bring my drink. All in all, it was ok. It's good we had a lot of time and weren't in a hurry. The food was delicious.
Wrong dressing for salad, server never came back until entrees were served. We had empty waters and drinks for over 10 minutes. Food was lukewarm, chicken wings were chewy and not fully cooked.

We asked to be moved outside due to the beautiful weather and the high noise level inside. The staff was so helpful in accommodating our request and quickly moving us outside. The service and food were excellent! We will be back!

This was an unfortunate experience. There was an event happening, they assured us they were taking customers. We waited almost 2 hours (1 hour 48 minutes) to get food. The food that did come out, was missing multiple items. We questioned it, they said oh sorry were are out of that (half the meal on the menu). We asked for a sub. They brought one biscuit out after 20 minutes. When we asked for the check, she offered two pieces of key lime pie to make up for it. It took her 24 minute to bring it out, and it was one slice. We saw over 10 people come to eat, wait at the host stand and no one ever talked to them (multiple servers saw). We requested water, it came for one person. Our waitress took our order, did not come back til the 1.5 hour mark when we asked what was going on. Never again, especially with small hungry children.
