Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Our server was great, but the assistant manager working was a nightmare. Kept on complaining to customers about other customers in the restaurant, and was extremely rude to an old couple that had come in which made them leave. She asked our table if we needed anything else and I asked for an order of pancakes to go ( not knowing that the all you can eat pancakes aren't able to be ordered to go) however, she put in an order, and only afterwards told me disrespectfully and condescendingly told me that you can't order a portion of the all you can eat pancakes. I'm not complaining about the rule, just of her delivery. When I said that I wouldn't take it, she still continued to belittle me. My group and I could not believe her behavior and we are pretty sure that was the worst experience at Perkins, ever.

I wish there was a zero. They took over an hour and a half to get us our food. Never refilled our drinks. The portions were unbelievably small and the food looked like it had been left out for a while before we got it. They served three tables that sat down after us. The server wasn't the issue. The restaurant manager staffed one server on a Sunday afternoon. He either needs to be fired or taught that you at least have two servers on so things can happen simultaneously (seating, order taking, drinks, expo etc) overall terrible experience. Pretty typical of this particular perkins.

Met with sisters and cousins and nieces for breakfast. Good French toast.

Two things come to ur mind when u think about Perkins- 1. The humongous American 🇺🇸 2. The late night dinners.

Have been coming here for a while now and the staff has always been the best! The food is pretty much the same as any other Perkins but the entire team they have is full of awesome people!

Everything was good, but it was so much better a week or two ago. My daughter & I both had the small chicken salad & pie. The salad had a lot more chicken in it last time we were there. Both times I had banana cream pie, yhe crust seemed overbaked this time and the pie wasn't as high or as good as the last time. My daughter had asked for ice cream on her apple pie but didn't get it. Overall it was still pretty good, just down from what we were expecting, like what we had the last time.

Had a great experience. Our server had the best personality. Good food served in a timely manner.

This is by far my favorite restaurant. I love the food. Nothing pretentious. Just good down home cooking.

We have had great experience working into the night at this Perkins! Friendly waitress and great environment. However tonight when we arrived and asked to be seated near the only outlet in the dining room. The friendly waitress was bringing us to the booth when the service lead came out looking upset saying that area is closed and we cannot sit there. When we tried to explain that we needed an outlet to use our computer for a work project she abruptly cuts us off and said no we couldn't sit there. We explained without an outlet we would then have to go somewhere else she said "YES" and we had to leave. We are long time residents of Shakopee that have given great tips and purchased many meals at this Perkins questioning whether we will return.

Service was good. The food was delicious and the server was very friendly. Great place to stop for a late night meal.

I hope my visit was just a really, REALLY off night... But having only been there once, I can say I would never go back. The service was ridiculously slow as it took us an hour to get our food (and it wasn't even that busy), and then it all came cold. Our waitress kept helping a table with young children, but when we asked for something as simple as silverware she didn't even apologize for not bringing it out. I would've been better off going through the McDonald's drive through and giving myself a stomach ache from all the grease. At least it would've been hot and in a timely fashion.

Service and food is always good. We go every Wednesday. The waitress already knows what we order which makes it personal.

I always get seated right away for lunch. Of course its Perkins and they have a large variety of menu items to choose from. Staff are friendly. All in all a good dining experience.

It was Christmas Day our waitress had worked an extra long shift and still had a smile for us. Limited menu as it was the holiday so I had to adjust what I wanted. (that the only reason it had 4 stars). Pleasant experience.

We were there Sunday morning before the rush. Lots of tables with dirty dishes on them. There was lots of staff standing around but nobody was working. Our waitress was busy and got no help from the hostess. There was a boy walking around taking all the tips off the table, sticking them in his pocket, but not bothering to help clean them off. Our food took forever to come out. There was a manager walking around but he wasn't doing anything either and soon disappeared. I finally went up to the counter to get my bill and the girl who had been standing there all morning didn't know how to find it. The food was good, but everything else was a disaster. Poor management and knowing how to get your staff to be productive.
