Turtle’s 1890 Social Centre

The venue and staff were outstanding to work with! My daughter’s wedding was absolutely perfect! Thank you to Bryan and everyone at Turtle’s for an amazing time. Highly recommend!

Planning a wedding? Have your reception here!!!!! Seriously, could not recommend Turtle’s 1890 Social Centre enough. It was the easiest, most transparent, affordable wedding reception! It is also a beautiful venue! Bryan knows his stuff & is so incredibly helpful. The staff who worked our wedding were phenomenal and everyone had such an amazing night. Truly, had the time of my life and it was thanks to Bryan and staff at Turtle’s 1890 social centre.

There are so many reasons to love the 1890 Social Centre! Excellent experience planning our event, great communication, friendliest staff, pasta bar was delicious and overall fabulous experience.

I always love finding new restaurants for my kids and I to eat. The kids menu with the turtle jokes are fantastic. Both my kids loved the food they had and I enjoyed my sandwich.

Had my reception here last October very accommodating and tons of room. Food was very good especially the pizza. Would recommend

Bryan and his team were fantastic to work with for our wedding. Our day ran so smooth. Our guests loved the food and drinks. They also loved the venue. Great space, super accommodating people to work with. Really reasonable prices.

I can't say enough good things about this place and about Bryan! We did both our ceremony and reception at Turtle's 1890 Social Centre, and not only was the pricing the most reasonable of any venue we looked at, but they also included the most. No nickel and dime-ing you to death, their pricing is straightforward and included everything we needed. Tables, chairs, linens, dishware, all of it. And the food was awesome!! We did street tacos, and they were superb! All of our guests with special dietary needs were accommodated, and all the guests had great things to say about the food and the staff! The staff was friendly, professional, and helped make sure everything went smoothly. Bryan also went out of his way to get me my favorite beer for the reception (peanut butter porter) and I really appreciate that! The place is also gorgeous. Brick walls, tin ceilings, black and white tile floors, and a beautiful bar are the perfect backdrop for any event. Vintage and elegant, it was everything I could have asked for!

Went here for a relative's anniversary party. Pretty nice setup for a social event. Attached to the bar & grill and they catered apps in like chicken wings, skewered teriyaki chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, spicy artichoke dip, wontons, and some sort of little prime rib slider thing that was so tasty! Also served pizza later that could have used a bit more sauce but was okay. There's a stage for a small band and a small dance floor. The bartenders were great. Overall good night!
