Went to the urban wok on April 13, 2024 about 9:30pm on a Saturday. The hours of operation are until 11:00pm. This is after coming to the restaurant earlier in the day to find they had operational service issues and were closed due to the emergency which is totally understandable. Spoke with a gentleman who said he was the manager. He was pleasant and encouraged us to come back to the St Paul location later in the day. So we did. Upon arrival at the store the employees still had the closed sign up. We went in and asked if they were still open. The employee said they were and would be happy to serve us. We placed an order for two with a nice tip. The employee then immediately began sharing way too much personal intimate information that we as consumers had zero interest in getting involved with. So, we decided to take our food to go. It was getting uncomfortable for us to be there. Trying to end this conversation with the employee and get our food so we could leave we waited outside. The two employees in the restaurant then became argumentative between each other. The employee that was sharing too much personal information then proceeded to follow us outside to continue the conversation. Telling us extensively about their family problems. At that time this employee’s mother was driving by. The employee began to argue with their mother who was in her car video recording us on her phone. The employee proceeded to pace in and out of the restaurant with a different extreme story that we didn’t care to hear every time they come outside. Finally after a good 20-25 minutes of waiting for the food we already paid for the employee came outside to tell us she was closing the restaurant and wouldn’t be able to serve us. We’ve been at the restaurant now for over 45 minutes. We respectfully accepted the decision of the employee which is completely unacceptable considering we asked clearly in advance if we could order more the 90 minutes before closing. We left for the evening and found a great restaurant on 7th Street across from the Holiday in that I would highly recommend! Then very next morning. Sunday we came back to find the pleasant manager we had met the previous day. I explained the very unpleasant experience that we had literally hours before. He was nice and said he’d make us food. Take care of the situation and gladly give us a refund for the horrible situation and experience we had the night before Food was made and given to us. Not sure if it was our order or not. Was never asked what we wanted. Just given food. The manager said he would be taking care of our refund and continued to apologize for any inconvenience. I confirmed at that time and asked if there was anything else I needed to do to receive a full refund. The manager ensured me that he had everything taken care of and I had nothing to worry about, my refund would be returned in a matter of days. 11 days later I called the St Paul location and let the manager know that I had not yet received my refund. It was the same pleasant manager we had been talking to at the restaurant. He said he was extremely busy at the moment and would call me back immediately. That was about 2:30pm April24. I heard nothing back from this gentleman. This is the corporate headquarters for this restaurant? This employee and her mother were both clearly strung out on something! This is a horrible experience! This is a horrible restaurant that I will never visit again! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at any location based on this one experience! I tried my very best to give the restaurant and the manager every opportunity to correct the situation and be better through this experience. There is clearly not a care to provide good service, good food, or a good experience! DO NOT EVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!! HORRIBLE on every level!!!!!! Then…. Instead of contacting the customer the company decided to delete all reviews? This place is a mess! On multiple levels of the company.

Undercooked food from someone who does not know how to cook, and an appetizer called a soup, but was just water with vegetables in it.Service was left to a computer, never a good sign. It's a store that could be run by anyone, but no one should ever visit.

Unfortunately this restaurant is in shakopee and we have amazing local food that you are competing with. The sauces we tried were Jamaican jerk and peanut sauce and both tasted one note and weak. The majority of what you get is noodles unlike most asian takeout where the meat to rice/noodle ratio is more 1:1 so value seems off since this was almost double the price of all other shakopee asian takeout. Had to add crispy tofu and roasted broccoli at home to make it feel like a meal but for $18 i shouldnt have to doctor it up. Since there are so many sauces it would be cool to have squeeze bottles of sauces at the register for you to sample them.

I wouldn't say it's disgusting but I definitely won't try it again. No flavor no guidance for new customers. Very disappointed. Also, don't bother with the Pokémon Crane thing. Because it's a scam. My daughter picked up a pokéball twice. And as soon as it got to the top, it dropped.

We have tried this restaurant twice. The first time we tried a bunch of different sauces, vegetables, etc. We were surprised that there was not much flavor, and we were also surprised how little vegetables there were in the dishes. It was ok.Tonight we ordered & it was terrible. We ordered steak stir fry & they FORGOT the steak. The noodles were mush, the vegetables were few & far between. 3 mushrooms in the whole dish, maybe 5 pieces of broccoli. Spending a lot of money for very little…very mushy, and no protein. We ordered chicken wings as well, SOGGY… We had to put them in our air fryer, and we still could barely eat them. Not good.I had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately, we will not be back.* after reading other reviews, I have realized that they charge a lot and give you a little. They give you a lot of noodles, and hardly any vegetables & protein.

Great tasting food and good portions too. A little on the pricier side but well worth it. On Tuesdays they have BOGO stir fry which is fantastic. Love it and will be going back.

Food was average. Seemed overpriced for what I actually received. Potstickers were ok, I got extra steamed dumplings in my noodles which were the same as the potstickers. Not a lot of chicken in my order and the noodles were a bit overcooked and dry. I ordered in store pickup and was also charged some sort of delivery fee. Flavors of the sauces were decent.

This is really good food and glad to see a lunch priced option to make it more attractive for the noon time meal with the regular menu items more suited for supper prices. I did an on-line order for lunch, but ate it at the restaurant, and really liked the +$2 add on option for 3 potstickers, that were yummy golden brown. The menu is focused on build-your-own, but do have a few pre-made dishes, but would appreciate a few more than the four options, for those of us that would prefer to just select a specific dish.I will say, the first time or two, the build-your-own options were a bit overwhelming, but getting used to it. Although they have a kids menu where you can de-select options, I have a hard time getting my kid to eat here, who likes a lot of basic items. With the newer lunch option, I will be heading here for lunch during the work day a bit more.

Have done online carry out and in store kiosk ordering. Friendly staff. The food was fantastic both times!! It feels like clean eating, feel great afterwards. I am hooked on the build your own meal of Lemongrass Mango Sweet and Sour with chicken and veggies over rice.
