I've been a longtime customer ever since they started in BP. To see them grow into the restaurant is great. The saikroks, steam rolls, and peanut pepper sauce is still the same and delicious every time - do not change these recipes! Trying their khaopoon hit the spot, too! Will always return to try their food!

We ordered on a Saturday. They were out of everything we ordered. No chicken what so ever. This is not ok. They should plan better and supply should meet demand. Very irritating.

I recently relocated to the neighborhood and was craving Hmong cuisine. Fortunately, I discovered this exceptional establishment. We opted for selections from the Lava Picks menu, which exceeded expectations. The steam rolls were generously filled with meat and accompanied by a distinctive, spicy sauce that deviated from traditional fish sauce. Additionally, we ordered Sai krok, Thai sausage meatballs infused with ginger and herbs, as well as Kha Poon and Lo Mein noodles. Notably, the Lo Mein noodles, intended for the children, were equally enjoyed by the adults due to their unique flavor profile and generous meat portions that differentiated them from typical Chinese Lo Mein. I am delighted to have found a restaurant that replicates the comfort of home-cooked meals without requiring a lengthy drive to East St. Paul.

Soild 4 stars. Phone ordered ahead of time. Was told 25 mins. Got there and wasn't ready. Took about 35 mins. Not a big deal. Got eggrolls, steam rolls, sai krok, chicken lo mein. The hot sauce for the steam rolls was great. Willing to eat here again

AMAZING! Best hole in the wall find to date! This will be our go to Thai restaurant for the rest of time! Very clean and delicious food! Try the Sai Krok - does not disappoint! Oh and it’s family owned, BIG win! Always support locally and family owned! ALWAYS order what they suggest! They won’t turn you down the wrong path! We loved it!

Honestly… The Lava Kapoon was THEE BEST kapoon I’ve ever had yall! I frequently make my own version and love it, but this one was truly incredible!!!! I ordered one bowl for myself, but ended up ordering a second bowl and then LEFT ordering an entire gallon for later!!! I can't wait to share the gallon with friends and family and to return! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I also want to mention their online costumer service thru Facebook is always incredible too :) The staff really puts in the effort in making this restaurant a 10/10. This has definitely become my new favorite spot!!!!!Thank you Lava Kitchen.

Bomb food! Delicious saikrok, steamrolls, eggrolls, Kapoon and NabVam! Haven’t tried anything else but also heard great things. So delicious and tastes just like homemade! Dining in service a bit slow but they are an upcoming restaurant! Be patient and understanding that they are doing their best given it’s an upcoming family own restaurant. Don’t knock it until you try it! Food is always fresh whether that’s to go, dining in, pre order. Thank you Lava! Never change your recipe!

I went here Sunday with my family. We all enjoyed the food and plan on doing takeout in the future. The server and owner were really friendly and took the time to answer our questions. I had the Pad Ped it was spicy, but not too spicy. Really good flavor.
