The Winkin' Rooster

My first time there today -- great food and wonderful, personal service!! I will be back!!

In all of my 60+ years I've never eaten at a place like Winkin'Rooster that refuses to serve water to guests; instead you are made to puurchase over priced cans of pop. Sneaky way to increase revenue. IF you wish to support ethical restaurants, avoid this place.

I ordered the California sandwich and was very disappointed. The bread was dry, tomatoes were tasteless, and turkey had a rubbery texture. The employee taking my order was crabby and unsmiling, and the restaurant felt cluttered and dirty. However, the portions were generous and a good value (chips included in the price of the sandwich), but I will not return.

Cute little place! Staff was friendly and my soup and sandwich were delicious!!

3 bites in, and it's the best chicken salad sandwich ever. Fantastic soda selection. Amazing prices. Highly recommend

Bruv, this place is a gem! Ate here two days in a row cause there's soo many great sandwiches.

You may want to pause ordering ahead of time because if something happens you won't be refunded. I ordered a salad and on my way to pick up my order on a rainy day I had major car problems My car was stalled and I injured my finger in the car door when I panicked. I had to deal with finding a tow, calling work, getting stitches in my finger... Needless to say I never picked up my order.
After reviewing my bank statement about 10 days later, after dealing with all my car issues and not having one to drive,after I saw today it was charged so I called to ask about it. Maybe it was a bad day .....
the owner does have an attitude as others have reviewed. . I wouldn't of bothered if he didn't snap at me and accuse ME of being rude when I said "I guess I won't be ordering ahead of time",
Take some responsibility, dude, and just move on. Accusing me of being rude when I was not rude is really crappy. You were 100% the one with the attitude. A friendly conversation and some compassion is all that was needed. Instead you made me out to be the bad guy. It was never about MONEY. I would of understood but at the same time you can't blame me for asking.

I got the California sandwich and it was delicious. Thick bacon (and plenty of it for a change!). Not a ton of seating, but does offer cozy indoor and outdoor seating options. Haven't tried the soups, but another customer told me they're good. Great place with a good local business feel to grab a sandwich, wrap or soup. Highly recommend.

We got take out from this place, and we got a lot of food for under $10/person. We had the Rachel and Bacon Club sandwich and they were both amazing.

I’ve never felt more welcomed by the staff of any establishment. I am always satisfied by the food. The atmosphere is a little edgy but really homey. I work across the street and frequent the winkin rooster at least twice a week. I’ve been wandering in that often for about 8 months now, and I just love this restaurant.
