Northwoods Grill delivers exactly what you hope for in a classic up-north spot. Breakfast is served all day, but they also have lunch and dinner menu items. Personally, I find the biscuits and gravy to be the best on the menu—rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their Bloody Mary is exceptional - served either normal or spicy (or MN spicy, which is a bit milder version of spicy ;). Service is consistently friendly and prompt, giving the place a welcoming, small-town ease. (I only wish they were open later.)

When you are a Chef and have been in the food business for 33 years and you walk away impressed! That is a great feeling. You can feel the pride of this establishment..Thank you for very much, we will be back next time we pass through town. PS. BLOODY MARYS WERE BAD#SS!!!!

The food was okay and there were plenty of options on the menu, but it felt a bit on the expensive side for what we got. The highlight of our visit was definitely the hostess — she was warm, welcoming, and really made the experience better. Overall, it was an average meal with excellent service at the front.

I recently visited Northwoods Family Grill and tried their BBQ chicken wings. The flavor was decent, but I was a bit disappointed with the texture and portion — the wings had a lot more breading than actual meat, which made them feel heavier and took away from the overall taste. The BBQ sauce itself was pretty good, but it couldn’t make up for the lack of balance in the wings.

The rest of the food was fine, nothing stood out as great but nothing was terrible either — just average overall. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.

One positive note was the service — our server was very polite and attentive, checking in a few times without being intrusive. While the experience wasn’t bad, it wasn’t memorable either. I’d give Northwoods Family Grill another try, but I’d probably order something different next time.

Half the food was good, other half was bad and not as advertised. Talked to our waitress and she could have cared less that some of the food was bad.

We had the brisket Philly and the chicken Philly and a starter of the cheese curds. Everything was excellent! The curds have jalapeño in them. The ribs looked fantastic. We will have them next time. Friendly service and great atmosphere.
