This location likes to fire people who have court ordered parenting time with their children. They hire the person and with being told about the persons court ordered parenting time and what days they officially can’t work to avoid having to be scheduled those days but they get scheduled those days and it’s to the point where the person has to either release their shift for someone else to take hopefully and if not they end up being told they have to work and the person ends up having to call out cuz they can’t work when having their child for their court ordered time. Management has zero respect for their staffs availability and do as they please against their employee’s availability. It’s literally only 6 days out of every month and they couldn’t be kind to just give that time off only and so the person can work all the other days available. So in the end they set this person up for failure at this job and to just fire this person for not being able to work during the persons scheduled court ordered parenting time. This place is a joke to work at.

Victoria was an excellent server and very warm and friendly during what was a pretty busy lunch hour. We arrived after what was probably their big rush of the day, and I was really happy they found us booth seating right away. We expected a little wait but had none. Their food was terrific! I had the bleu peppercorn burger. Highly recommend!

I got the prime rib sandwich...it was not very good, I could taste the fat from the meat..not very appetizing, not much flavor.
I would definitely not order that sandwich again. Jimmys Pour House has the best Prime Rib Melt sandwich!

I want to give a very honest review. Our party of six did experience some wait times, but they were very busy at the time we arrived, which is very understandable. Also had some trouble with a new waiter that was training in and that was understandable. As far as our food was concerned after we received it was very hot and delicious. My wife even commented how great the pot pie was. The management team at Granite City food and brewery are very professional and are very concerned with their guests having a great time. I would highly recommend your next dinner engagement visiting Granite city, food and brewery.

We made a reservation for 6:45pm, arrived at 6:37 and we weren’t seated until 7:05pm. And this was not because they were busy, the restaurant wasn’t even half full, just a bunch of tables that hadn’t been cleared. The whole place was very dirty, including the bathrooms. They gave our children cups with lids that didn’t fit properly, so water spilled all over them. The food was nothing special. We have enjoyed going to this restaurant in the past, but after this experience it would be very difficult to go back.

Dined here on 9/20/24. The hamburger in my patty melt was low quality and tasteless. Ordered a side salad and was served in a warm bowl. Salad was endive (I think) looked old and wilted.
Spouse had Asian Chicken salad snd a cup of Chicken Tortilla soup. Both were marginal at best.
Ice tea was very good!
It was 2 pm and things were slow for the servers. Manager had one of them feather dusting the venetian blinds behind us. They were dirty but not the time to be doing that type of cleaning.
Our server Hayley was really good. We did not complain to her. I was hoping there would be a better way to communicate this. Food quality was the main disappointment. We're pretty sure this might be the norm for this restaurant? We had been there a couple years ago and recall it wasn't the greatest but assumed they were still recovering from the pandemic. Maybe not unfortunately.
We're not complainers but this day the food was terrible.
Gotta give credit the fountains and decor are really nice. Looks might be deceiving.

My sister and I had a really nice late lunch today. I ordered my usual hamburger, with Bleu cheese instead of American, medium rare, and she ordered her usual burger, well done. Both of us were very pleased with them and with the sweet potato fries and mashed we also ordered. We had a glass of a very good Rose', and cheesecake for me and chocolate cake for her for dessert. Our waiter, Benjy (sorry if that's not the right spelling) was absolutely delightful.

I do have two suggestions: it was around 3 when we were there, and there were not a lot of other guests. It was pretty cold. It was also loud, not from the number of guests, but the music was turned up a lot. It also wasn't music that appealed to us. I get that your usual evening crowd probably likes the type of music you were playing, but you might think about who your guests are and at least temporarily adjust both temp (if that's practical) and type of music. It's not so important that we won't come back -- the burgers were really excellent-- but it would make it even more enjoyable. We might have stayed and had another glass of wine.

The atmosphere and service was amazing. There’s always smiles!

The food was disappointing. The Chicken Tuscano and Avocado Grilled Cheese was very bland surprisingly. They were quick to replace my chicken for the Cajun chicken pasta that I couldn’t eat either. It was BLAND. The sausage inherently had good flavor, but the entire dish did not. I tried my wife’s grilled cheese sandwich: bland also. I loved the beer tasting “flight” option and the service was excellent. The manager Ryan was super nice and understanding!

The salad was fine…. Can’t go wrong with salad and ranch.

I just know that I can’t go there for a hot meal. Very disappointing.

Enjoyed an impromptu late lunch while in town. Our server Benjamin (Ben) was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a nice meal at a comparable place and delicious desserts, chocolate cake and cheesecake! We will stop in the future when in town!

I ate here with my husband for the first time recently and it was a very good experience. Right as you walk in the atmosphere is positive and welcoming. The food was great, the Baja tacos tasted very fresh and were some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had, and the wait staff was very friendly. We will definitely visit again!
