Went in to see what food is offered on the menu. I wasn't expecting to buy much of anything but wanted to enquire about what is being offered. I had a beautiful interaction with staff. I learned that there is Somali, Kenyan and Ethiopian food. Although I wasn't prepared to dine in or take out at that time, I chose something more light just to check it out. I geared towards the Sambusa. As I waited, I spoke with staff about culture and their goals for servicing the community. Once my food was completed, and I exited the restaurant, I couldn't wait to taste it. My first bite was flavorful, with a nice crunchy outside made fresh. I immediately turned back around to tell them to tell the cook(s) how delicious and impressed I was with my food. I have had many Sambusa in town and hands down this was the best. I instantly wished I had time to try the full course meals on the menu. My husband and I will be back to dine in. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. The staff there are very friendly and inviting. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing food. I love the waslad. Very big portions and tender. The rice and the sambusa is out of this world. One of the staff told me they now have an event center along with the restaurant. I will definitely come back again.

The food was delicious and definitely something to try. We got 2 sambusas and combo platter 2 with goat meat. The host was really nice and explain the food, the waitress was great. Food came out quickly and was a good price. The atmosphere was very cozy and large tables for big groups. Plus you get a ton of food with each order. I highly recommend checking this place out for something new to try!!

The food was great specially the goat rice, but my partner got the chicken with African aromatic rice and she found multiple hair in her food. She has curly hair and she found multiple straight black hair in her food. The taste is great, but I hope they solve this problem.

My dad and I last minute decided to go, and though I was wary of a new place, the food was very good, and the people were very nice. I'd never eaten African food before so I have nothing to compare it to, but everything was delicious. I will definitely be going again!

Fantastic selection of East African cuisine, along with a variety of other delicious options. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and features beautiful artwork that adds to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

I've eaten at this establishment twice now. The first time it was delicious even though the Camel was available. The second time I ordered to go and again there wasn't any Camel Thursday available even though it's Thursday. So I ordered the Medium African rice with goat meat, and I didn't receive my cabbage 😒. I really want to support this restaurant but it's not consistent with the menu.

I have had the pleasure of eating their food twice now and each time I find it more delicious! AND they cater! Do yourself a favor and try it!

The highlight of my meal at Kalsan Cuisine was definitely the orange chicken and tilapia with rice! The orange chicken was perfectly tender and flavorful it had me craving more with every bite. The tilapia was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and packed with flavor. The rice paired so well with both dishes, completing the meal in the best way possible. I was provided ranch and a green sauce that I mixed together because the green sauce was a little too spicy for me but with it mixed it was delicious on the food!

The ugali, greens, and goat meat were also great, the goat meat was a little fatty but the flavor was perfect adding a wonderful cultural touch, but it was really the orange chicken and tilapia with the basmati rice that stole the show. And to finish it all off, the Somali tea was simply incredible—rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to end this unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to come back! I guess there is breakfast there as well so I’m definitely going back to try it out!

I’m not an experienced foodie, but I can recognize something juicy or crunchy when I taste it. This chicken from this new restaurant, Kalsan Cuisine, stands out—it has a texture reminiscent of Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane’s but is a hundred times better. Unlike those chains, this chicken doesn’t rely on baking powder for crispiness, resulting in an incredibly crunchy and flavorful skin.
