We had Lily's at our wedding on 10-5-24. Steven was great to work with all the way up to the wedding and even worked with me so he wouldn't show up during our ceremony! I have nothing but good things to say, everyone kept coming up to me to comment on how good the food was. Steven served all 200+ guests by himself and didn't stop moving. I will always recommend Lily's. Thank you for everything!
This is the second year in a row my company has brought in one of the food trucks from Lily’s. The selection of food is awesome. Mac and cheese, bone in wings, chicken tenders, pulled pork and more. So many sauces to choose from. Thank you to the staff
I was only going to leave a one star without explanation but after seeing other bad experiences and an insensitive response from owner; I feel inclined to add more.
I waited in the buffet line for 95 minutes! I was literally sick once I sat down down (to eat) as my blood sugar was at a hypoglycemic level. The buffet choices were slim and some trays empty once I finally was able to reach the line.
I saw many guests left hungry without eating. I personally know of two large families with children that couldn’t wait any longer- 7:30 pm.
I saw many empty chairs, looking back on all the pictures I took with time stamps: I don’t think it’s okay for owner to be dishonest that food was out promptly at 6:15. It simply wasn’t. I also have photos of empty chairs during dinner. You arrived late and understaffed? That’s okay, not really- but don’t be dishonest.
Also to my understanding and experience its customary for the caterer and their staff to direct and control the buffet line? It’s definitely not the mother of the bride’s responsibility, who I read you were trying to blame. Take some accountability. I did not read about one ounce of accountability in your response? Not good business practice.
Based on your other reviews you can do better. This wedding maybe wasn’t one of your better offerings but make it right, not on google; but privately.
I know of many, many other unsatisfied guests and you don’t need this heat. You made mistakes and we all do. But I don’t agree with the gaslighting and threatening practices you have now exhibited as of recently.
Worst experience ever- threatening texts-says it’s because I asked a month ago for a refund( I did ask for one) but I also paid for the night 175 guests there wasn’t even 160! The entire night was put on hold- it took over two hours to feed our guests Other hired staff ended up helping Many left without eating. He would get a zero- if you have a big event and have a schedule DO NOT trust this man! He will respond that it’s our fault because we didn’t release people in an ordinarily fashion?they were hungry you should never wait 2 hours after the agreed upon time to eat! Oh and he also promised our kids name lite up in the trunk ! Didn’t happen!
Unprofessional, rude , not on time. Food was bland at best.
Very bad experience. Booked months in advance for a wedding then the owner shows up really late lying saying someone told him to come later yet before this called and said he was stuck in traffic, shows up by himself to make food for 160 people and proceeds to charge for more than 200. Works for a couple hours charges for more. Rude to the guests. The last people to get food had to wait over 2 hours. People had offered to help but he refused. Food was cold fries were too salty only thing that was good was the sauce to cover the bad taste of the food.he could not keep up. You’d think if he is the owner he would do anything to make it a great experience even if it’s accepting help from the guests. Would not recommend. Then proceeds to comment on the review, if you thought you were so great and that you are right, you wouldn’t have to try to defend yourself on here. The mother of the bride tried to get the money refunded before any of this happened but payed in full and would have been more than willing to give you more of a tip had it actually been good service. You could not keep up by yourself. There was also supposed to be a truck there with lights and the bride and grooms names on it that wasn’t there.
Review of Lily's Wings Wedding Caterer Truck
I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Lily's Wings as the caterer for a wedding, and I must say, it was far from what we had hoped for.
First and foremost, the caterer arrived late, which set a negative tone for the entire event. With a food truck meant to serve 175 guests, it was disappointing to see that he showed up alone. This lack of support significantly impacted the efficiency of the service.
As the dinner service began, multiple guests reported that the caterer was rude and unapproachable. There were instances where he yelled at guests, which is completely unacceptable, especially at a celebratory event like a wedding.
The biggest issue was the extremely slow service. It took over two hours to get everyone through the line for food. The caterer had to make the food on-site and then run it out to the buffet, which was clearly not a sustainable approach for an event of this size. We had several guests offer to help him, but he declined assistance. In fact, our photographer ended up stepping in to help run food, which is not something a guest or vendor should have to do at a wedding.
Unfortunately, the slow dinner service caused many guests to leave before they had a chance to eat, which was incredibly disappointing. Not only did this affect the enjoyment of the evening, but it also put us seriously behind schedule for the rest of the event.
Overall, I cannot recommend Lily's Wings based on this experience. The combination of poor service, lack of professionalism, and discourteous behavior overshadowed what should have been a joyful occasion. I hope they can improve their operations in the future, but I would suggest looking elsewhere for catering services.
I attended a wedding in Chaska this past weekend. 9-28-24. The food was more than an hour late. Serving of the food was unorganized. There was a single line to serve 175 guests. Food needed constantly re filled. Guests were left waiting in line for main dish choices. I personally waited 20 minutes for pulled pork option to be re filled. Several guests and family members of bride and groom asked if they could help in anyway and were told "No" If he was concerned about portion size and running out of food then someone should have been there serving food to control portion size. The food was okay but not worth the long wait.

We had Lily's Wings food truck come to our Pastor's Retirement Party and they did a great job of serving 160 guests at our church. We had an assortment of food including bone-in and boneless wings with 19 sauces to choose from. The mac-n-cheese was also outstanding!
Thanks, Steve, for making this party at our church so special by cooking such delicious food.

We had Steve out to our workplace with his food bus! Food was delicious and Steve was really accommodating to our staff with food restrictions. Would highly recommend for workplace events!
Deplorable.
Loved the quality of the food and the selection of sauces, a bit expensive but some of the best tasting wings/drums around. The loss of two stars from me is for abandoning their store to only cater now. When this joint was on northside it was an actual restaurant, when they moved to division which has to be awfully high lease payments, they only allowed pickup, maybe delivery IDK, but it was only from 5-8pm. Being a local company they should have a physical location to at least pickup food. Even ShortStop who is mostly a catering business still has a place to sit down and eat. Very bad decision making on owners part at least in a community sense. Not a clue why they'd set up shop on division if they're not a restaurant. Very disappointed. MTs on 8th is my new place for wings, spend $50 a week there every single week since lilys self exodus.
The food was disgusting. I ordered plain wings and they were practically raw. They also only take cash which seems sketchy to me. I have also heard bad things about the owner. I won’t be back anytime soon!
Lily’s catered our children’s Grad Party a few weeks ago and we are so please! They were very helpful with the whole process! Our food trays were never empty despite how busy it was. I would highly recommend them for any large gathering!
