After some enthusiastic referrals from my dad, we chose Custom Catering for our wedding in October 2024. The tasting was a fantastic experience that allowed my partner and me to explore our preferences and build a menu together. They offered great options for our vegan and gluten-free guests, and they were incredibly flexible with our last-minute seating changes and day-of needs. We also appreciated that they allowed us to take home leftovers, as we had our own food-safe containers ready. The food itself was outstanding—we chose the champagne chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and caramelized baby carrots, all of which came together as a cozy, comforting meal that perfectly fit our fall wedding!

Short Stop Catering did an absolutely wonderful job catering our wedding at Rolling Ridge! The food was wonderful and the service went above and beyond. Our day of coordinator Jonathan did a phenomenal job of taking care of us behind the scenes. He was kind and helpful in every interaction we had with him. He was available at our rehearsal dinner at the venue to answer questions as we set up our own decorations and he arrived at 8 AM on the wedding day to begin setting up and be available if anything came up.
The catering team led by Janice was exceptional and the dinner went smoothly because of them. We had bacon wrapped chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone I talked to raved about the food. The catering staff was incredibly accommodating to guests who had kids and guests with dietary restrictions.
We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day and owe a lot of the success to the Short Stop staff going above and beyond behind the scenes.

I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your establishment. I’ve been a customer in the past and generally appreciate the convenience of your location , but the quality of the food—specifically the chicken—was extremely poor during my most recent visit.
The chicken I received was overcooked, dry, and lacked any real flavor. It seemed like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The texture was tough and chewy, making it nearly inedible. For the price being charged, I expected much better quality and freshness.
I understand that mistakes happen, but when it comes to food—especially something as basic as fried chicken—consistency and care are important. Sadly, this experience has left me reconsidering future visits unless improvements are made.
I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to address quality control with your kitchen staff. Customers notice when corners are being cut, and it reflects poorly on your business.

Had a fantastic experience with this crew! We had options for the Bacon Mozzarella stuffed chicken, and the Peppercorn stuffed sirloin, and butternut squash ravioli for vegetarian. All amazing reviews from the guests. Sliced pear feta salad was maybe best salad had in years, even when prepared in bulk quantities. We did not do desserts, but had great reviews of food, staff and working with these guys all around.

Over all the biggest thing, the food, was good and hot so I can’t complain about the food itself. My biggest complaint was the staff. Being that rolling ridge exclusively works with short stop I would assume they would have better communication. Short stop provided the “day of coordinator” for the venue. We were told at our final walk through with Nikki, when we went through details like where the cake table would be and cocktail tables would be that short stop would see all the documents we went over with layouts and have everything down. The day of coordinator had no clue where any of the cocktail tables were supposed to be and I physically had to ask for all of them to be put out and tell her the color of linens which we also had talked to the venue about. Still none of the linens were right on the cocktail tables. Was it the end of the world? No, but it was more irritating than anything that we spent 2 hours driving to the venue and 2 hours at the venue going through all of it just for the coordinator to not know anything. Overall I wouldn’t say the communication throughout the day was the best. I had to ask 4 times for the drinks we had bought to be brought down to us in their speakeasy because they had put down 5:30 even though they knew cocktail hour started at 4:30. There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication and the day of coordinator honestly looked lost and confused all day long. My other big complaint is that they raved they could have food out to everyone (we did plated meals) in 15 mins. Over 30 mins later there were still half our tables sitting without food. This was very frustrating and disappointing. I did everything they asked plus to make sure meal service when smoothly. They had a layout with specifically who was in every seat and what meal they had. Lastly, I felt like it was a little ridiculous that at the head table they got meals wrong and I had to ASK for water. Our waters were empty for like 10 mins and I had to stop someone and ask them for more water. We were told there would be 8 people there to serve us I saw maybe 3. For how much we paid I just felt like the service should have been better.
