Over all the biggest thing, the food, was good and hot so I can’t complain about the food itself. My biggest complaint was the staff. Being that rolling ridge exclusively works with short stop I would assume they would have better communication. Short stop provided the “day of coordinator” for the venue. We were told at our final walk through with Nikki, when we went through details like where the cake table would be and cocktail tables would be that short stop would see all the documents we went over with layouts and have everything down. The day of coordinator had no clue where any of the cocktail tables were supposed to be and I physically had to ask for all of them to be put out and tell her the color of linens which we also had talked to the venue about. Still none of the linens were right on the cocktail tables. Was it the end of the world? No, but it was more irritating than anything that we spent 2 hours driving to the venue and 2 hours at the venue going through all of it just for the coordinator to not know anything. Overall I wouldn’t say the communication throughout the day was the best. I had to ask 4 times for the drinks we had bought to be brought down to us in their speakeasy because they had put down 5:30 even though they knew cocktail hour started at 4:30. There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication and the day of coordinator honestly looked lost and confused all day long. My other big complaint is that they raved they could have food out to everyone (we did plated meals) in 15 mins. Over 30 mins later there were still half our tables sitting without food. This was very frustrating and disappointing. I did everything they asked plus to make sure meal service when smoothly. They had a layout with specifically who was in every seat and what meal they had. Lastly, I felt like it was a little ridiculous that at the head table they got meals wrong and I had to ASK for water. Our waters were empty for like 10 mins and I had to stop someone and ask them for more water. We were told there would be 8 people there to serve us I saw maybe 3. For how much we paid I just felt like the service should have been better.

Custom Catering provided the food, beverage, and day of service at our wedding this August. The food and drinks were good, but what stood out to us most was the service! Their staff is friendly, efficient, and so helpful; they really care about you having a great day! Sally was our day of coordinator and she was so attentive and willing to go the extra mile! The bartenders, John and Michael, we're so fun! Our guests loved their banter and they were so fast at serving drinks for 200+ people! We can't say enough good things about Custom Caterings service and are so glad they partner with the venue we chose!

My wife and I went through Custom Catering by Short Stop for our wedding this past weekend. The tasting was great, the food ended up being good, and the service at the event was good. However,we found out the next morning that their clean-up was subpar.
The wedding was at my in-laws family farm. There was ample space provided with access to a sink and electricity for preparation and service.
-The staff asked my father-in-law if they could leave behind food waste, he said no and to please take it with them: they did not.
-The trash bags that were left behind were overloaded, and many filled with grease with no regard for potential spillage.
-They helped themselves to buckets (otherwise kept clean for botany) to dump grease in, and then left the buckets filled with grease behind.
-Grease from trash bags leaked onto the concrete floor of my in-laws brand new pole-barn.
-Grease from these overloaded bags (the bags that were specifically asked to be taken off-site) proceeded to leak or break all over my father-in-law's truck/ truck bed as he had to dispose of them himself.
The mess left behind for our family to pick up the day after the wedding was certainly not what was expected for the prices paid.
