The food's all right

I have been here many times before and it has always been good. Tonight I came for a dinner club and there was something extra special about it. My recommendation is that you get the chicken tandoori.

What a wonderful evening and the staff was so wonderful and attentive. It was also my daughter‘s first time and they made sure that she could try some extra things. It was also sweet.

No longer the same. Used to love the food—the naan, balti. They sold restaurant(s) and food isn’t the same. Will miss the old food/recipes.

The Star Of India has great food and they give you a lot of it. I am definitely not a small man so when I say it was a lot it really was a lot. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and helped me decide what I wanted. They give you a choice of mild medium or spicy and I opted for medium which was probably good for me although if I was ordering for my wife, she would probably need mild. I did get my food to go so I didn't necessarily get a chance to get an idea of the ambiance but it is a place where I would sit down and have a meal if I had more time.

After a long drive, my family and I stopped by Star of India in St. Cloud for dinner, and it turned out to be such a pleasant experience. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan, and the taste was absolutely authentic — flavorful, balanced, and not overloaded with spices. It really felt like genuine Indian cooking.

At one point, I had a small issue with my order, but the chef personally came out, listened carefully, and immediately fixed it. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out. My kid was also delighted — both by the food and the chef’s friendly attitude.

The service was top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. As we were leaving, they even offered us a cup of tea for our long drive back, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

Overall, an excellent experience — great food, wonderful people, and genuine hospitality.
Highly recommend visiting Star of India if you’re in or around St. Cloud!

The Chicken Josh from Star of India is my absolutely favorite Indian dish! I also really like their garlic naan and mango lassi! My husband loves their Chicken Tikka Masala and it is one of the better ones I have had but doesn’t compare to the Chicken Josh! Highly recommend Star of India! Am kind of glad I don’t live in Cloud or I would spend all my money here. But, I try to visit when I can! Love it!

It was our first time there and we really loved the food. The service was great as well, very friendly and quick. The size of the meal is decent. The restaurant is quiet and elegant. The only thing we were surprised with, was the price of the juice.

One of the few places you can get truly spicy food in the area. I've gone regular hot on a few occasions and don't have the nerve (or gut strength) to go xhot. If you're in the mood for curry this is the spot!

The second time I’ve been missing something major from my online order. I probably shouldn’t write reviews when I’m hangry, but I can’t wrap my head around how these places can’t double check an order. (Also dasher had to wait and it took about 15 extra minutes. I’ll deal with that if my food is actually there.).

I’ve been eating at Star of India since they opened and they always do a fantastic job. My faves are the bhajia (with the tamarind sauce and mint chutney), tikka masala, kararra balti, and garlic naan. I’ve never had anything bad here. Highly recommend their food and the staff/service are also top-notch. They always remember my family when we go in and are so kind and welcoming.
