Great food and great service!

My husband and I went here last night and never again! We both ordered the walleye. It came with no tartar sauce or sour cream with baked potato! We asked for it and they charged us for it! Over $2 for a little cup of it. That should just come with fish and a potato! We were also charged for using our debit card. All of these extra charges were a surprise as it’s not posted anywhere and they don’t tell you. Our bill was over $78 and we just got one walley fillet and a potato and pop and one side salad. It was not even that good! We both left hungry. Way too expensive and we should not be charged for tartar sauce when we order fish and we should not be charged for sour cream with a baked potato! Other restaurants don’t do this!

Really fun spot in downtown St. Cloud. Nice tap sélection, lots of bar seating. The food menu has a lot of variety that was unexpected. I had the pad Thai with tofu and it was quite good. My companion had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Efficient service, fun atmosphere. We will return when we fin ourselves again in the Granite City.

Vegetarian options: Veg options are not called out on the menu, but there are plenty of options for vegetarians beyond what you'd typically find in a central MN bar.

This has been my favorite place for 10+ years.

Here’s why:

The food is amazing, across the board. From a simple bbq chicken sandwich to the Thai Green Curry. (My boyfriend and I still can’t find any Thai curry that compares) And while I love our local Indian places so much, nothing compares to White Horse’s madras. ???

The drinks are great and they make sense.

The entire staff knows what they’re doing and what they’re talking about.

The local service industry loves this place, if that tells you anything.

And they use compostable to-go containers, straws etc. and have been since Covid shutdowns (maybe before even? Correct me if I’m wrong). They spent the extra money on this during a time that every restaurant in America was at risk of losing everything. A small business, for the good of the earth. (And in a town that rarely does so) That there has my loyalty forever.

The White Horse gives a f*ck.

I usually try not to flood my favorite haunts by giving stellar reviews, but they earned it. Charming service and very flavorful and interesting cuisine.

Excellent choice for something freaky.

I loved that everything was fresh and from the area. We decided to order from the seasonal offering and we were not disappointed!

Love the chefs creations, which made it a challenge to decide on what to order.

Our waitress was fantastic! She explained what the chef was trying to achieve with each dish we were interested in.

We will be going back next time we're in the area. If you're a local, this has to be on the top of your list!

Had a chance to eat here during a busy music festival last weekend and Rachel was our server. She was so helpful, gave great suggestions and took time to connect to us. The food was delicious and the live music was so awesome, really brought downtown to life for us.

I got the Pork Verde (current Friday special) and it was a life changing experience. Even after driving it home it was exceptional. Point of the story is don't hesitate to taste their creative cuisine, it's greater than the sum of its parts

From the start to the end everything was great. Food was great,(broiled walleye w Brussel sprouts , chicken parm. App was the lettuce wraps and apple crisp. Yummy. service was great. Love how everyone helps eachother out. Our first time there and definitely will be back Thank you all for a great night.

Five Stars!! The white horse has always impressed... from the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the nice relaxing atmosphere. However, the best part of the Whotehorse is their food. From the Jalapeño Peanut Butter burger to the amazing Green Thai Curry with shrimp!! They have always impressed!!
