Rude staff! Waited 30 mins at restaurant after the told pick up time along with 4 other customers. Staff seemed confused reopening stapled shut orders shuffling items in and out of bags. 1 person in the kitchen. Poor management. Food was plain much better options out there.

I use to order a lot from this place (I believe from SLP location) to chaska, but their quality has gone way down. I ordered Chicken 65 and it does not look like Chicken and it was a different dish and they accidentally called it Chicken 65 and delivered it to me. I am allergic to seafood and such and had a friend try it and they confirmed it is not chicken. Their Chicken Briyani is the worst I have ever had in a long time. If you are a Briyani eater you know how best the Briyani taste. This tasted like a rice blended with cooked with spice and some chicken pieces thrown into it and mixed. The worst experience I ever had from this restaurant and I would not recommend anyone for this place. Don't waste your money here.

I've given Dancing Ganesha multiple chances, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, it's been disappointing each time. As a Black customer, I felt ignored and unwelcome, while the staff gave noticeably different treatment to white customers.
During my last visit, I watched as the servers were attentive to other tables, frequently refilling water and engaging warmly, while my table was practically ignored. We weren't even acknowledged, and the difference in treatment was too clear to ignore. I hoped this was just an isolated experience, but after returning twice with the same results, it's disheartening. If you're a Black person, l'd recommend looking into other Indian restaurants where you'll feel respected and valued as a customer. Everyone deserves equal and respectful treatment when dining out, and sadly, that hasn't been the case here.

Been going to the downtown and St. Louis Park locations collectively for more than 10 years and the food and service are top notch, consistent, and authentic!
Vegetarian options: The channel masala is so so good!

My friend and I visited this place as it has been one of his favorites to come eat.
It was my first time but I am so glad I got to enjoy this tasty food. I am not able to handle a lot of spice and they are able to accommodate your spice level on a scale of 1-5.
After looking over the menu, the dish Kashmiri really stood out to me. I loved the sweetness of the apples and raisins plus the Naan dipped in the curry...just splendid. The rice that is served with it, is a nice touch to tie all of the ingredients together. I did get the lamb and I would recommend that choice to anyone.
We also enjoy Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer. Unless you realize its cauliflower, your taste buds have no idea lol!
Thank you for making my first time eating Indian food a memorable experience 😊

As always, the service is prompt, and the food is delicious at Dancing Ganesha. The lively decor catches your eye the moment you step inside, but the aroma of the spices takes over your senses, making your mouth water! You can't go wrong here.
I usually order the mild chicken rice biryani, although even the mild version has a bit of a kick. In the past, I've requested no spice in this dish, but it still came out spicy. Last night, I was informed that it's not possible to make rice biryani without some level of spice; otherwise, it wouldn't be rice biryani. With that noted, I'll mention that even though I have a sensitive palate, the mild version is tolerable, but it takes some getting used to. However, it might still be too spicy for kids.
Who doesn't love naan, and the naan at Dancing Ganesha is fantastic. My family and friends have never complained about any dish they've ordered. Last night, the other orders at my table included Dal soup, Chicken Saag, and Vindaloo. Everything was wonderfully prepared and served with plenty of rice. If I had one complaint, it would be that an extra side of Raita used to be a generous size and is now quite small. For $4 a side, I'd like to receive the previous pint-size they used to offer instead of the small ramekin they now provide.
All in all, this is our go-to spot, and we will definitely be returning! We're looking forward to next time.

Great, authentic food. Very tasty! Service is okay, could be a bit better. Portion sizes are fine, could have been larger, especially at the price point which are a bit high.

They would have garnered 5 stars as the food was excellent but we ordered the lamb neelgiri and received chicken. Ordered tandoori chicken spicy level 5 and received spicy level zero. Mistakes happen and because everything was so delicious we will be back. The vegetable samosas were huge and perfectly spiced. The mirchi baji were just ok. Service was excellent and everyone was so nice. Little mistakes are worth a return trip.
