We made reservations, table was not ready when we arrived. They put us in a back room that was freezing. Took at least 5-10 minutes before anyone came to the table after we were seated. Ordered drinks, took at least another 10 minutes before the server came back and took our order. Appetizer came out in decent time, but soon after everyone at the tables around us received their apps and meals, even though they had been seated after us. At some point our server came up and asked if we had gotten our food. Considering our app dishes were still sitting on the table for what was over 30 minutes at this point it should've been painfully obvious we didn't have our food. They mumbled something about there being a mistake and just walked away. About 5 minutes later we finally received our meal. The pasta was mushy and overcooked, the pizza wasn't even warm. We got the first national pizza, mind you I love olives but they literally just dumped what had to be at least half a jar on there that was all you could taste, no pesto no artichokes just olive. During this whole ordeal they sat a large table in the small room we were put in and they did nothing but literally yell over each other across the table to the point where it was so loud my wife and I couldn't even have a conversation. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or even if we wanted more water, meanwhile we watched our tables the same server was serving get rounds of drinks. For what ended up being over 100 bucks this was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on food. Food and service was a complete joke. Save your money and go to Olive garden.

Our food was delicious but the standout of our night was our server, Emma. She made fantastic recommendations, delightfully described each dish when we had questions, and even went far as to suggest some secret swaps at other ATOM restaurants. I felt like I have found my foodie bestie. Emma was prompt, polite, funny, and attentive. I highly suggest requesting to sit in her section.
We ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli. I’ve had it before and can’t get enough of the crispy brussels they include on top of the pasta. My husband got the Minnesota Ave pizza per Emma’s highlight, and he loved it. This was our 3rd time at Kavo, and it hasn’t disappointed us in the least.

I waited over two months to post this, because I wanted to give Kavo a chance to make my order right. I even reached out to the person replying to other Google reviews and was told I’d get a gift card mailed for me to give them another try. Well, 2 additional emails and I got ghosted. Which is a bummer, because I REALLY wanted to like this place.
I ordered To-Go, which I know can bring its own challenges. I ordered multiple things, but I’m only going to highlight what went wrong. A side order of fries plus two sauces I paid for and I got a tiny portion and 0 sauces. I also ordered a side of their table bread with some special butter advertised and received this tiny bit.
I believe in giving places another shot, but I’ve never reached out, gotten a response with a promise to make it better, only to get ghosted. Because of this, you have lost a customer for life and a recommendation to any of my friends looking to dine out in Saint Peter.

This is exactly what southern Minnesota needs. It’s absolutely worth the drive from the twin cities to enjoy an amazing meal. From being greeted upon arrival, to the end of the meal, it was truly an experience. The atmosphere at Kavo is just incredible. The homemade pastas, the drinks, the apps, are all perfectly done. Absolutely need to spend more evenings here, it’s truly one of the best experiences at any restaurant with flavorful food.
