The Freight House is enough of an experience in itself to make the food sort of play second fiddle. It's all good and quite value priced. Super kid and whole gang friendly, pets welcome on the large patio. Staff friendly and accommodating. Try the Chicken Wild Rice soup. It's the best in the city.

Lance was our server and he was the sweetest, most considerate young man. I had stomach surgery a month ago so I’m on strictly liquids. Since they had nothing on the menu I could eat, he literally went to another restaurant a block and a half away and purchased some beer cheese soup for me with his own money and brought it back to our table. He was attentive to my needs and made me feel so seen and important! Needless to say, we reimbursed him for my soup and tipped him greatly for having such a kind heart and going above and beyond his duties! We need more Lances in this world!

We visited the Freighthouse during Stillwater fall harvest days on Saturday. It was fun. A lot of people lot of vendors. There is a live band playing the food at the freight house was what you expected for bar food. We just had sandwiches and burgers salad. Service was good pretty fast lotta people were sitting outside so we sat inside and we got faster service that way, but nothing fancyI would probably visit again.

Absolutely disgusting to charge paying customers a parking fee in their lot. Have been going here for years but never again after getting a 70$ ticket after the change in rules. Stay away, their food and drinks are way overpriced. Shame on you and your trashy business practices FH.

Food was delicious and quick service considering the large amount of people in stillwater on the weekend.

Friendly staff, relaxing view of the St. Croix and okay food. Being on their patio on a Beautiful Saturday made for an enjoyable visit to downtown Stillwater!

A great spot on the giant riverside deck! Two bars where you can grab a beverage. Bartenders were friendly! Ordered our food from the bar since wait staff wasn't coming around, no problem once you figure that out. Giant pretzel was pricey and the dipping sauce could use improving, but it was fun to share with my friends. Absolutely love the environment out on the deck and the river in the background. Thanks Freight House for letting us gather for our class reunion 😊

Beautiful patio overlooking the river. We stopped on a Monday for lunch. Love that you treats on the menu for the pups. Our server Maddie was wonderful, she always checked back with us and made it a great experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

Over priced, no refills, and now locals have to pay for parking too.

Phenomenal Irish fair....(and me mum and family are Irish who enjoy making homemade Irish food), Sheppard's pie, with well sourced presented Greek salad, and succulent tantalizing salmon were all 5/5. All while sitting on the covered patio with a fabulous view of the stillwater lift bridge, and the river! Plan to make a day of stillwater can't go wrong!

Just buy your drinks and/appetizer here, save your $$ for someplace with better food.
Great atmosphere, not-so-great food.
We had high expectations because the place was crowded, but we figure now thats because of the view, not the food.
Both my husband and I are stuck in the bathroom after eating here. He ordered the Fish and Chips (basically all deep fried food, including the bread!), the fish was too crispy and not enough actual meat for a $24 meal.
I ordered a side salad with chicken and should have stopped there but wanted the truffle fries--fries were a little to crispy and airy for my liking. Again, we were not impressed by the food. The waiter never asked how the meal was, so they could also use a reminder to the staff on customer service.

Went to the frieghthouse and am now being harrassed by a company in NOLA to pay a parking ticket. Not to mention I spent 40$+ on food and drink. Avoiding this restaurant at all costs. Highly deceptive!!!!
