Stopped in for breakfast. I tried the eggs Benedict and my husband got an omelette. The Benedict was pretty good, I’ve had better and I’ve definitely had worse. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy!
The service was very friendly!
The stools at the counter are not comfortable at all. My legs fell asleep 😅. So get a table if you can!

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. There were six of us and two separated 4 tops were available. The employees asked a couple that had just sat down if they minded moving to make room. I would have NEVER thought to ask this or expected this in a thousand years, but I know of it was asked of me I probably wouldn’t have cared either. The people moved and just now I thought to myself why did I not think of buying their breakfast until this moment. To those two that moved, I hope you had a good day and thank you. Your good deed let my wife get to sit with 4 of her very dear friends and reminisce.
Back to the food. I had a Reuben with rings. The Rueben was great, but the rings were something else. I’m always worried that they will be too greasy, but these were perfect.
Great place, we will be back next time im Stillwater.

This place was nice. There was only one waitress though and the place was slammed. She did great considering, but sometimes you have to wait, particularly to pay. Environment was on point, as expected for a small non-chain cafe. Food was good. My friend and I both had pancakes, one plain and one blueberry. They were good, but my blueberries were really sour. We each had bacon and that was also good. Each of us had American fries also. These were okay, they had literally no seasoning, not even pepper and they are dry when they come out so you can’t even salt and pepper them and expect it to stay on. I was disappointed in that because American potatoes are an up north kind of thing and so I don’t get that very often. Was really looking forward to them and it was like they took frozen potatoes and stuck them in the oven and then threw them on a plate. Eh. Lastly, this place gas an accurate one dollar sign description. It is much cheaper than some other cafes in town.
It is DT Stillwater. It is always lovely there. The food this time was ok but we came in last minute. I didn't like the geros. But I have eaten here a lot so I will only suggest breakfast.

S-L-O-W so don’t visit if you’re in a hurry. We had no problems finding a table so I didn’t think it was considered busy. We waited 45 minutes for two omelettes. Hashbrowns were bland; one order was barely browned. Standard breakfast fare with only diner coffee & machine dispensed French vanilla “cappuccino” available. Super cute little old building on the main drag so location is a plus. Staff were friendly. Plenty of waitresses, so I think the hold up was in the kitchen.

I have been in the customer service industry for 56 years and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Main Cafe this morning. The establishment had two open tables when we entered and Laura ( I believe that was her name) was just cleaning the one we sat at. She was extremely courteous while we hovered over the table and very quick, but thorough! Our two servers (Laura and one other helper) were very good and the food was prepared very quickly. Not only was it fast, but it tasted wonderful! I was very impressed of the service and quality given by the servers and cooking staff! If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5 I would!!

My daughter and I were in stillwater and decided to stop in and have a quick bite to eat. The food was fresh, hot, and very good. The only complaint I have is our server never came back to ask how everything tasted and if we needed anything.if it would have been busy I would have understood, but it wasn't busy. I might stop in again next time I am in town, but might not leave a tip next time if the service is the same.

This is why I don't trust reviews. First time, last time. Food was awful. Not sure how you can screw up pancakes and hash browns, vut they did. My club sandwich came on soggy bread. Service was fine.

Down-home, old-school cafe with surprisingly diverse menu. The triple berry French toast is sooooo good, it’s my personal favorite. Great staff, wonderful servers. Closes at 2pm.
