Amazing food and amazing service! I was explained the style of dinner and offered the spirits menu (I ordered some craft cocktails, but looking at their huge menu was fun). The ambience and Zara style music was great. My boyfriend loved my dance moves. They gave us a free dessert for his birthday also! For special dates and occasions I'm definitely making the drive out here :)

The food was outstanding. We ordered so much and finished it all! My husband prefers not to eat a lot of meat and the vegetable dishes were outstanding. The carrots and the green beans were our favorites. The crab cakes were ALL crab. Wedge salad was huge -- shared among 3 people. The pasta was flavorful and delicious. The couple we were with had the brisket and the cod and enjoyed them as well. Dessert: we had the peanut butter cups and the lemon curd. Both delicious. The peanut butter cups were the winner for me, but so rich I was glad to have 3 others to share with. I would love to come back and try more menu items.

Food quality varied; wedge salad and the short rib were great. Angel hair pasta was flavorless and more of a soup than a pasta. Disappointed that they seat you in the hotel lobby watching football, even with an advance reservation. Was looking for a romantic anniversary dinner, didn't get that.

Always a favorite! Just know they say small plates that you share but you do get a good amount with each plate.

Matchstick restaurant was able to accommodate my family and I with a short-notice reservation online for my birthday, and they did not disappoint! The food and drinks were phenomenal, and we all had a wonderful time. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience in Stillwater, this place should be at the top of your list!

Great place for a business dinner or a casual hangout with friends. The most extensive whiskey (and liquor) list I've ever seen. There's a book with about twenty pages listing all the booze they have on the shelf. Over 2,000 bottles, according to our server. Casual atmosphere. Large doors that open to the patio on nice days. I will definitely be back.

It was my first time here and I went all in—ordered everything off the dinner menu for lunch. Every dish was amazing, and the desserts were HUGE! Great flavors, great service. See you next time I’m in MN!

The care that goes into the food is apparent. However given the cost of entrees and drinks and the fact that it’s not an extensive menu - was very surprised that the timing of the dishes was totally unpredictable. The server said at the start that some dishes take longer and so things would “flow” out as they were ready. We heard other servers say the same. Strikes me as not caring so much about the diners experience for an upscale establishment. We’ll be back - but I’ll be sure to ask the server to manage the “flow” even if it means changing our selections so our group is served relatively around the same time.

We ordered several dishes and the food was completely underwhelming. The crab cakes in particular were overly salty and very soggy. I don’t generally leave bad reviews, but I was surprised at the poor quality of the dishes our table ordered. The service was prompt and friendly. I think it’s a great place to go for drinks, but we won’t be dining there again.

Great food. Had the brisket and carrots. Wife had the beef tips and Caprese salad. All of it was delicious. The staff was friendly, very attentive. The selection of liquor was a little overwhelming but it was nice that they had the book to use to look them up.

I’m giving the food one star not because it’s not delicious, it is. But I am so tired of all the food coming out at different times for the diners. They try to make it seem like it’s tres chic when really it is just the kitchen, unable to manage their orders. It’s not that difficult. Restaurants all over Stillwater manage to do this quite successfully.

The wife and I went for my birthday, the staff was extremely attentive and 100% on top of their game for the entire 3 hours we spent there. Best bourbon selection we've ever seen, the bartenders were very knowledgeable, the manager was friendly and awesome! The food was out of this world, we had an amazing experience and will definitely come back every time we are in the area
