Tamales tasted like a freezer and it was dry and barely had cheese or sauce. Extremely disappointed at the tamales. The leches cake was good and so was the horchata. I recommend not getting the tamales if your expecting a soft and moist tamale.

First time coming here from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Nuri was our server. I had the seafood enchilada’s and she had the pollo fajita chimichanga. First off, we couldn’t possibly eat everything. We wanted too, but the servings are pretty big. Even the sides (rice and beans) were great.
They start you off with some tortillas and salsa and a Mexican ranch. I could have just had that. But no, we had to order more.
I highly recommend going here. And if you get Nori, you are in good hands.
Muy bueno!

Decent food, seemed like a lot of confusion amongst servers as we had four different people try to take our order. And after placing our order, we had to reorder because the initial server was too busy. I'm fairly certain part of my meal was forgotten, but server did not come back until check was dropped at table. No need to go back.

Service is fast, drinks are delicious, and the food is top notch. A lot of people in town seem to go to the other Mexican restaurant but that's part of why I love El Loro - I don't like being in cramped dining areas and El Loro is very open, peaceful, and relaxing. It's a great place to have a beer and a burrito after a long day.

I've lived in Phoenix for 20+ years and this place holds up to any Tex-Mex joint there. Their street tacos are very good. Portions are big! Bring your appetite, but be wary of the red sauce! It is a bit spicy for your average Jack Pine Savage....

The food was decent. The only issue was that the food was a little cold when it got to me.
