We love coming to Fortune Bay because of the World Class golf! Everyone is always so nice, doing their best! I can be a bit picky so I hope my thoughts are constructive. Pro: The duck wontons were good and I rather enjoyed the wedge salad. Our server was super nice! Con: My $55 steak was burnt on one side and an uneven cook throughout. Oddly my baked potato was not fully cooked and still hard inside. Kind of a 101 item and mainly why I am writing this. Our server had already opened the wine before bringing it to the table. Ive never seen that happen before. The problem being it did not actually match what the menu said. If It wasn't already opened before presenting, a customer would be able to pivot easier. I appreciate having a place to eat while up golfing and hope it keeps getting better.

We had a delicious anniversary dinner at Sunset Steakhouse tonight. Everything was presented well and tasted great. Our server was very pleasant, helpful and there when we wanted drink refills. Especially tasty was my Onemanii shrimp with bang bang sauce. It had a little crunch to it which added to its pleasant taste. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and they were generously sized shrimp for an appetizer. I also had a bowl of lobster bisque, also delicious with a chunk of lobster in the center. YUM
Then I had a half caesar salad, nicely crunchy and perfect. My only complaint about my food was that the soup arrived just warm and was room temp. when I finally finished it.
If you want to savor it slowly it will turn cool. Husband had pan fried walleye filets (2), wild rice, baked potato and root vegetables. He loved, and ate, every bite. We had mixed berry cheesecake, shared. The cheesecake was delicious, as expected. We've been there quite few times now and the great food and service always has us going back. I WOULD recommend!

Every single thing we ordered at this steakhouse was perfection. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, the house salad fresh and balanced, and the wild rice soup was rich and comforting. Our filet was cooked flawlessly, and the jumbo fried shrimp were golden and delicious. The sides were equally impressive—creamy mashed potatoes, classic wild rice, and hands down the best baked potato of my life.
The food was outstanding, but the service made it unforgettable. Troy, our server, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely elevated the entire experience. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Highly recommend.
Would return just for this restaurant, which was almost fully reserved on a Tuesday.

Go there alot lately good food.this time I order something different,food was done less then 5 minutes I received a burger that was barely cooked cold fries.girlfriend got a slicked steak burger with onion and peppers that were definitely just taken out of the fridge steak was one piece not sliced ,watress ask if we needed anything I told her right away I'm not eating this as my blood from my burger was under my cold fries.she had a attitude what do you want me to do about it. And then walked away.then 2 minutes went by I believe was either the cook or manager.asked same thing I responded by telling him I just dont want it no more I was done eating.neither seemed like it was a big deal that my burger was very undercooked Evan after I showed both.then he came back and said don't worry about the bill.should be more concerned about food safety instead.

So I love steak, but the one i got here was under seasoned, over priced, and low quality. I like fat on a steak but this was too fatty. The potato was better than the steak. The bread rolls were bland pretzel rolls that tasted days old and reheated. And there was flies and other fling insects that kept trying to land in my food. Over all not very good. The last nail in the coffin was when a customer asked for a rag to clean up the mess left by the last people. It was a huge waste of time and money. Safe to say i won't be returning.

Our waitress was wonderful! The food was cold. But, the worst part the 2 men serving our food dropped coleslaw on our friends back! It went ALL over his shirt & pants! Neither server even knowledges it or even apologized for it. We asked for something to wipe it up. One of the servers went storming into the kitchen slamming the door behind him. Our friend went to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Our friend then had to sit & eat with his wet, stained clothes. We had to ask for a clean chair. We told our waitress what had happened when she came to our table. She apologized & said she could comp him a dessert. That wasn’t good enough. She was able to get his meal comped. We go to the Casino often & eat there a lot. The food hasn’t been very good. We will NOT be eating there anymore. We will go to the Golf Course from now on! Service is very good there & the food has been very good! Also, good food & service at the Vermilion Club is very good!

Food is way overpriced, I got a side salad that was tiny with iceberg lettuce for $6. Total disappointment. Steak was very fatty but the fries were good lol. Our waitress was nice but the other waiting staff was irritated we wanted to put two tables together and said we couldn't do that unless we are on one check. Really? Go to Tavern in the Bay instead ~ way better food, atmosphere and pricing!

NY strip smothered with loaded baked potato and green beans. Pretzel rolls for the table before the meal. Steak was cooked to temperature as order at medium rare. Loaded baked potato was cooked wonderfully and not dried out. NY strip is not my favorite Steak but this was loaded with flavor.
Not worth the money. Atnosphere is basically any generic family restaurant, loud music coming from the casino or ???, marginal food & service, but prices that make you think they're pretty proud of their food. Not really worth it, & def not a place for a special occasion.
