Here you will find generous portions of delicious food, very friendly people, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Depending on your appetite, you could potentially split an entree between 2 (or more people), or you can plan to take home delicious leftovers.

This restaurant is way, way out of band for Truman. This would be a destination restaurant in a major city and the fact that it's sitting here in Truman is such a treat.
China House Cafe is a excellent - we live 3 towns away and still make excuses to take the trip just to get some excellent food from them.
Keep it up!

First let me say that I wanted so much to like this place. This is a very small town and I always try to support local businesses over big commercial places.
On Friday, May 16th we ordered 2 general tsao's chicken, 2 orders of dumplings, crab Rangoon, and an order of beef lo mein..
The general tsao's chicken wasn't horrible, but it didn't taste right and was nothing like what it was supposed to be.
The dumplings and crab Rangoon were hard. With the Rangoon having a watery filling and the dumplings filling tasted like seafood when it was supposed to be pork.
The beef lo mein wasn't terrible either, but it tasted like something else.. the noodles were stiff, but the beef tasted very good.
The entire meal cost around $70 (I don't know the exact figure)
I'm very sad this happened, We really wanted to love this place.

Amazing just amazing service and friendly people. The food is the best around
I HIGHLY Recommend trying the restaurant if you haven't. Johnny is a heck of a great cook, host, entertainer, comedian, and all around great guy. Ling is wonderful as well.
Kid-friendliness: Johnny and Ling are Wonderful with kids.

We love this place make the 20 mile drive once or twice a month the people are great and the food is the best Chinese in southren MN (in my opinion) you get a good portion of food for this price !
The food is fantastic, the customer service is even better if that's possible! I have brought family here from MUCH MUCH larger communities that state it's the best Chinese food they've ever had. You absolutely cannot go wrong here!
Best place to eat Chinese..

We happened to be driving Highway 15 at lunch, and thought we would try some Chinese food for lunch. We had pork egg rolls, Hunan chicken and Szechuan pork. Both were listed as hot and spicy which is just what we wanted! Delicious! The owner was very personable and hospitable. We will be back!
