Turtle River chophouse is amazing with a creative and delicious menu. The food is fresh and Flavorful. From perfectly grilled steaks to Seared fish to wonderful burgers and salads. I highly recommend this Restaurant. The staff is friendly and professional. This is a wonderful restaurant and needs to be on your list. A+

Brett, the owner makes an effort to meet and greet his guests. Staff are friendly and helpful. I believe they work hard to satisfy their guests. Happy Hour is awesome as is date night and trivia night. Great, comfortable atmosphere. Just paved their parking lot!

I have not been here for a couple of years. We decided to stop in recently after a wedding, and I would probably give the overall experience a 7/10. But I will round it up to 4/5 stars.
The food was extremely affordable, considering how talented the chef is. I was expecting nothing on the menu to be less than $25. I was able to get their bar burger with fries for $9 and a Coke for extra. The burger was actually very refreshing, savory, bright, and crispy. Everyone else’s food was also above average, and everyone was pleasantly surprised.
My one complaint though was our waitress Gabby. I have no idea if I am spelling that right since they do not wear name tags here. But she had a very bad case of RBF. She also seemed irritated when we were asking about dietary restrictions. She also seemed irritated when we were asking to make substitutions with the menu, that were very minor, but she made it seem like no substitutions were even up to negotiation. The hostess even had to come over and tell us that she would go grab our waitress since we were waiting for so long to place our order. She also did not remember who ordered what food, and was very lacking on refills, and never put ice in the cup after she refilled it the first time. She almost ruined the entire dinner if it weren’t for the food being so affordable and such high-quality. Unfortunately, I can’t even cut her any slack because the place was completely dead, and they were multiple employees working. She basically just stayed behind the bar and didn’t check on us until the end of the meal.
I will definitely be stopping here again in the future, it isn’t quite so upscale that there is a dress code, but you definitely want to be dressed nice. But it would be a phenomenal place to take someone for an anniversary or a special night out as it’s not incredibly expensive. The atmosphere was incredible, and the location is a little bit out of the way for most people, but it is worth the drive. I just hope we won’t get that waitress again.

Thank you for making my birthday special (sorry for the delay in the post). I wish we would have taken photos. PS I'm a little bit of a risotto snob. By far one of the best dishes I've had. And the shrimp - there must have been at least 10 large shrimp in my dish. Fantastic dollops of basil!!! Oh my weeks later and I can still taste the flavors (not literally) ☺️

Great place to stop, whether date night or looking for delicious meal, they've got you. Came back after few years away for wine tasting and was of the most intimate and well thought out tastings have ever been to. Will be back monthly to try new tastes of wine and food flavors they've come up with.
Great restaurant! Live music outdoors. Great atmosphere, food was delicious, but small servings, especially the appetizers are not meant for 2 or more people. Food from the stove to the table was slow & there was not a lot of people. Not many great places to eat up north, so this place is a must. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Pricey. Server was nice. We went for the steaks, which were excellent.

We are from the Twin Cities and look forward to coming to this place every year. Their menu is just the right size, great selection and they always have a fun special menu. Their wine list is so thoughtful and awesome. I know it’s not on a lake but trust me it’s worth the trip. And their seafood - they say often overlooked and worth it every time! Not to mention- the service and fantastic and make sure you save room for dessert!

To be honest food was pretty good we just left but service was bad we sat for over 35 mins with no service we finally got a sever and she said I am sorry I guess no one new who was going to serve she then was like what can I get you to drink I said I have been sitting here for almost 40 mins i think we will order our food and drinks as we put in our order a new waitress came over and was like oh I will be your server now I was like OK and from there I would say service was OK at best after spending more them 135.000 you would think they would treat you better I dont live in town but maybe they saw i was new idk but I was pretty disappointed with my experience
