I've always loved small town roadside bars. The Stein house has a prime rib night and a Friday fish fry. Unfortunately these community meeting places are dying out. Support them whenever possible
I had the crispy chicken sandwich and my wife had the chicken parmesan sliders. Pretty darn tasty.

Fantastic Friday fish fry. And prepare to wait unless you arrive at 430pm. Seriously. Is it worth the wait? I'd say yes but you may have a different answer, especially as it is crowded on a Friday and there is not a lot of room to wait. There are plenty of nearby options for fish fry, but don't expect a shorter wait and Dan's or anywhere else in the area. The fish is delicious. On other days the other food here is also above average. Also a full bar, so that helps kill some time as you wait for a table. If you know you face a wait, this will work for you. If you are in a hurry, there are McDonald's in Farmington or Hastings.
