I took my date to have some meatloaf and ribs..The food was marginal and tasted bland but edible a real marginal meal... Which is odd we had eaten there several times in the past..And the food was serviceable. This time me and my date both had a bad reaction to the food.I called as soon I could after the incident and was told by the manger?? Owner ??That basically he didn't care and it was my problem..So I guess I can only say in my opinion I wouldn't eat at Adventures in Virginia, Mountain Iron area as they are incapable of having a mistake.Good luck with your dining adventures!

I have been lazy and haven't posted a review in a while, but this place blew me away. I was in town chasing the Great Gray Owl at Sax-Zim and was staying next door at the AmericInn. I figured this was going to be another run-of-the-mill bland chain restaurant with a lousy draft beer selection and overcooked food. Wrong. The selection of draft beers was excellent; a bit pricey but worth the quality. The first night I had the teriyaki salmon, which was cooked perfectly. The second night I had the elk, cooked as the French would say "saignant", and it was so delicious ... lean and flavorful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience all around. Thank you so much!

Vegetarian options: Having the mushroom option for fajitas was really nice.

The Shrimp Alfredo was very dry and made with penne. The French fries were way over done and crunchy. Upon checkout my wife and I simply asked a man behind the bar what the surcharge on our bill was. He immediately rolled his eyes and became very disgruntled. He was very unpleasant, unprofessional, and extremely rude. I wrote a comment on the charge slip pertaining to his conduct. He took the slip off the bar crumpled it up and threw it out. We will never again step foot in this establishment.I this person is the owner or manager, I could only imagine what kind of workplace environment the employees have.

Went out with some friends for the Oktoberfest menu. We ordered drinks which were kind of bad. The vodka martini tasted like it was made with sweet vermouth, rum and coke was watery. The food was ok, except the gingersnap meatballs may have been microwaved. One meatball had the consistency of a ping pong ball. The gingersnap gravy was quite good as was the spaetzel and braised red cabbage. It was a nice change from the usual meat and French fries.

Came in here just to grab a lunch… first time here… the food and service was great , but for the fact that the place was almost empty, and that way for a while, the place was a cluttered with dirty dishes that didn’t get taken care of…

Outdated, poor quality food. Drinks are less than mediocre.

Although the service was good, and it was a nice place, food portions were very small!!Would not go again.

We stopped here for lunch on our drive home. It was a Wednesday at about noon. We were quickly seated and had prompt service from a very sweet member of the waitstaff named Presley. My family and I had various lunch choices and all were delicious. Would definitely stop again!

My friend and I walked in the door at 6:17 pm and the waitress said they were closing in a half an hour. I asked her if we were going to get kicked out in a half an hour or could we finish our meal before leaving. She said we were OK as long as we ordered within a half an hour. The older lady lady said everything...bar and restaurant was shutting down in a half an hour. It was like the older lady didn't want us sitting down. We walked out, very confused.

Had bleu cheese burger it was ok definitely have had better. Service was friendly quick prices were comparable or average. I should say went at 3 PM which was happy hour to for one not that I drink, but the person I was with did. They had the chicken fried chicken, which was OK in their opinion.

Terrible dirty silverware, ordered a salad with chicken, hardly any chicken, brown lettuce, about 3 slices of olives, feta wasn’t found charged more for the salad than a burger. Wouldn’t recommend at all! You'd think after showing the waitress my brown lettuce and lack of the extras that should have been in the salad they would have offered to bring me additions or compensate me, but no actually had a surcharge added even though we paid cash. Don't go here! Was pretty excited to see an Adventures restaurant as we've eaten at the Siren location several times. This was not like the Siren restaurant. I heard the people behind me complain about dirty silverware.

Food is not great. Appetizers are decent though. I go for the drinks/happy hour and ambience. Owners are very right winged.
