Went through drive thru, which is supposed to be quick, and I had my small kids in the car hollering for lunch. Took freaking 40 minutes, and I couldn't leave because they have no way out of the drive thru . I'm so pissed off now.

Such slow service in waconia.. They need to hire more people.. I waited 30 minutes in the lobby with no one in front of me... they forgot my fries and ranch.. They ran out of spoons!!! I was like how do i eat my blizzard? I had to walk back in to grab the missing things. Friendly staff but just need more people.

The customer service was terrible and I had to wait in the drive thru line for 30 minutes. Would not recommend going here.

10 minutes standing at the front counter waiting for someone to even take my order. Well that I can live with. Waiting 35 minutes at a table with no food, that I can’t deal with. I went to front counter to ask for a refund after 35 minutes of waiting. I wasn’t aware they butchered the meat on site, as I could go to a 5 star restaurant and receive a chicken strip basket and one hot dog a lot quicker. I have gave this location so many chances today was the last time. Not even a sorry from them either, absolutely pathetic. Save your time and money and rive to Norwood. I could have went to Norwood 2 times including drive time and still got those 2 orders before waconia. Absolutely the biggest joke and fail I’ve ever seen. Shut this location down

Welcome to Waconia Dairy Queen—where time is a flat circle and hope goes to die. If you're like me, you'll pull up to the speaker, full of optimism and hunger, and be greeted with those iconic words: “Welcome to Dairy Queen, we’ll be right with you.” Reader, they will not be right with you. They will be near you…but they certainly won't be right with you. By the time you hear “Go ahead with your order,” you’ll have forgotten why you came. Physical hunger will be a distant memory as the fumes from the car in front will have become your primary source of nutrition. When your order finally arrives (probably wrong), it will be handed to you by a staff member wearing what can only described as a chocolate Rorschach test on his soiled t-shirt. I saw a chocolate spin-art dragon, my wife saw regret.

In conclusion, if you enjoy peace, solitude, and the sound of your own stomach slowly digesting itself then by all means treat yourself to the meditative fast that is the Waconia DQ drive-thru line.

Very obviously an absent owner. Dirty. Only 2 other cars in parking lot and 1 in drive through. Newer store already showing excessive aging. Seems staff is never the same, though I’ve only been 4 times in 2 years. Blizzard was puréed when specifically asked to be chunky (please just once make a blizzard like 2005, train the staff). Food was very poorly made and presented even worse. McDonald’s would have been much better at less than half the cost. A real restaurant would have been nearly as quick and very similar cast. Corporate must send notice when they’re coming because there is no way this is worth $18 a person. Sad they brought this trash to our town and have continued to refuse to support it.

A Craff

At the drive through speaker they asked us to wait a minute. Five minutes later we called out HELLO? and someone responded like they forgot we were out there. The large dip cone had another cone inside of it. They covered the top and sides of the inside cone to disguise it resulting in a smaller cone - I.e shorted on ice cream

Food is pretty normal for a DQ, nice outdoor sitting area, and service is friendly. They are extremely slow though, drive through or inside. More than a couple of times, we have to wait over 25 mins for a single blizzard.
