I wish this place had been open when I was a college student living in St. Boni. There is so much room upstairs for studying or hanging out with friends! It reminded me of pubs I've been to in Ireland, located in really old buildings, where one room leads to another and then another, and you're like, "where does it end?" It was really cool, so 5 stars for atmosphere. The coffee was pretty good. My only complaint would be the food. I actually laughed when my half grilled cheese panini arrived at the table. It was so small and had zero presentation. And what was the cheese? Something processed? I don't even know. But for almost six bucks I expected a little more...something. Glad I got the half and not the whole. My friend got a breakfast sandwich and it was the same...small and not that appetizing, and I think it cost even more than mine. For 2 small sandwiches and 2 specialty coffees we paid $25. A little steep for what we got. But this place has potential!! Maybe just add a little something on the side of those sandwiches (cole slaw? A kale leaf?) or use thinner bread for the panini and make them bigger? Waconia really needs this place. (I still can't accept the fact that Frost and Steam is gone.) The students at Crown need a place like this to hang out. The menu just needs a little tweaking.

Love coffee shops. Visiting from out of town. This place has a great feel to it. Very welcoming, comfortable, and great selection of food and beverages.
Got terrific service by staff (thanks Cale). The drinks were excellent. They made my London Fog perfectly. My partner got a Latte and a breakfast sandwich, both were very good.
The place is a lot larger than it looks, with an entire upstairs seating area. Plenty of rooms/spaces for small groups and conversations.
If we ever get back to this area, this would be the coffee shop that I would pick! Even bought myself a great looking t-shirt :)
Parking: plenty of spots on the street

Very cute cafe with lots of study spaces (there is an upstairs!) and with very friendly staff. We also got food including two pizzas and the chicken gumbo and had their coffee. Loved doing some work there.

Such a cute coffee shop! I’d been to the st boni location many times, but definitely recommend stopping by this location when in Waconia! The coffee is basically the same at the different locations (which is amazing as both locations have great coffee). Where this location really shines is their food offerings!! They have more food options and the pretzels are to die for! The spinach and feta pretzel was so good!! Definitely recommend the seasonal beverages, the campfire cobbler chai was a knockout!!
There is ample seating inside and a few tables outside.
Parking: While mocha monkey doesn’t have its own parking lot, there is ample street parking around the block and a parking lot across the street
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a set of stairs to get to the front door, making it inaccessible for wheel chair users

Decent coffee shop with a couple of locations in Waconia.
They have a very large menu with craft coffee drinks, smoothies and more. They also have quite a few different breakfast and lunch options as well if you want to grab something to eat.
The prices are fair and the service is always good. They also sell quite a bit of pottery inside from planters to coffee mugs.

2 girls behind the counter were not holding anything back about whoever manages/owns this shop. Like I was interrupting their venting session… if you don’t want to work there, QUIT!!!

Always great place to get large selection of beverages. They have ice cream all year and large variety of foods like Quiche,Cuban sandwiches. Always friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of places to sit upstairs or down to work, play games, read paper, relax etc. Best coffee shop in town.
