Been here a handful of times. Im just never impressed. But today I think was the last time going to this place at least for a while. Food is over priced and honestly it wasnt good. Omelet had a weird taste to it, kinda think it was the sausage in it but not entirely sure. The hash browns were crispy on top which was great but then under the crisp they were wet soggy and very oily. The bacon was literally burnt and crumbled when I picked it up. I was going to ask for new bacon but a waitress never came back to our table until we were almost completed eating our meal. It took about 20 minutes to get our order which I dont think was unreasonable, but when our food was brought out it was missing half of my meal. The table next to us got the wrong meal brought to them all together, which that was corrected but I hope they didnt take it back and give it to the other person. I'd like to think they remade it for the other person. It was crowded and very loud, it is typically loud every time I go and can be difficult to have a conversation with someone at your same table. I like the idea of this place and I keep going back hoping for something to get better but it just doesn't. If you haven't been here yet im not saying to avoid it, but I dont think we'll be returning anytime soon. Spent $40 on 2 meals, no drinks, nothing extra.

Was greeted with a female who looked at my Thin Blue Line hat with obvious disdain. She never greeted me or said “welcome “. I advised her that I was waiting for a friend. She then just walked away without saying anything. My friend and I were soon seated and the waitress was great. We ordered and the food came out. I was amazed at the portions. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Nice portion size. The problem was with the overpowering black pepper taste. My friend had the same response. I am a life long smoker and my taste buds are shot so If the black pepper was too much for me then I feel bad for someone who is not a smoker. I normally don’t leave reviews but wanted to come to this restaurant for years and I am very disappointed.

Whenever I have family in town, I try to suggest Pangea for Sunday brunch. I've always thought it's one of the best places for a nice breakfast. Beautiful food presentation, lovely drinks. Be sure that you make a reservation in advance if your party is greater than 2 people to make sure they can accommodate your your group. On par with all the fancy downtown MPLS spots for sure.

This is THE breakfast spot. For 19 bucks I got 4 huge pieces of French toast coated in toppings with a side of 3 big pieces of bacon and hash browns. They have a lot of other French toast options as well! The coffee was good and consistently topped off.

Perfect food, horrible service and atmosphere. Order took 30 minutes to arrive. AC must not work well and it was hot indoors. I sat with an empty water glass for 15 minutes while servers stood around. 2 of 3 lightbulbs out in restroom, weeds growing in cracks of sidewalk outside front door, snow shovel and sidewalk salt in main entryway in July all left sloppy impression.

Food is ok, hashbrowns were bland, coffee was not good though. The restaurant has good ratings, so I’m kind of disappointed how it turned out. Servers were nice though.

My husband (newlywed) had breakfast here one morning with his friends while I was at work (he clearly cheated lol) and he said he had to bring me! And I’m so glad he did!! Walking in, the atmosphere was cozy, mom and pops style, sat down immediately, and Sophie was our waitress! Being from the south, I had to go with my favorite, BISCUITS AND GRAVY!! Hands down the best I’ve ever had in the state of Minnesota!! I will be returning, this time for the corned beef hash!!

My family took me to Pangea for Father's Day. Waconia is a small town which had some nice little places foodies would like. Since our last visit, there have been many new openings. We got an early reservation at Pangea, and so we got a nice table looking out the front. People started lining up outside right as we were ordering.
I ordered a special, Lumberjack Waffle, which was excellent, and I was hungry. It had crisp along the ridges, but tender waffles. It had a sausage gravy on iit, and I'm accustomed to more gravy, with a suspicion of sausage; my gravy was full of nicely ground sausage. Two eggs were on top along with a slice of ham. I could only eat half, and the slab of ham for the box. We all took home boxes. Service was cheerful and attentive. The cocktails were a hit with everyone. One of our party had the Champagne Mule, which had muddled mint, lime, simple syrup and ginger beer: all the flavors were right . I had a Lemosa, with berry simple syrup, champagne and lemonade; this combination could go badly wrong, but our server assured me that I would like it, and she was right.Parking is ample on the street, and there are some newer, larger places right down the street, but Pangea is the place to visit.
