I placed a mobile order for a 1:10 pm pick-up today (October 29) at the Waconia location and selected curbside. When I went through the drive-thru, the employee working scolded me when I mentioned it was a mobile pickup order, saying, “I need to come inside moving forward as it takes him too much time to grab my order”. I wouldn’t mind if this were a consistent policy, but I’ve been to this location over 20 times, and no one has ever told me this before.
Honestly, I thought I was helping by not making them run the food outside to curbside since I had selected curbside in the subway app. I would have been totally fine with this feedback if it had been presented in a different tone. The lack of customer service from this employee really makes me question whether I’ll return to this location, especially knowing the Norwood spot is the same distance and has friendlier staff.
The joke might be on me if both places are owned by the same people, but the purpose of this review is to encourage better customer service. Kindness isn’t hard, and it goes a long way.
If his tone had been different, I would have understood. Here’s an example of a better approach: “I understand coming through the drive-thru might seem quicker, but in the future, could I kindly ask that you either park in the designated curbside spot or come inside to pick up your order from the shelf? We tend to get busy, and this will help ensure you get your order as quickly as possible.”
The saving grace for this Waconia location is the lovely female employee who usually works the later shifts. She’s always kind and thoughtful, and I appreciate her attitude.

I ordered a ft long bacon and turkey sub with toppings, for my son, and he said it tasted off. He ate 1/2 and an he later he started feeling sick. He was up all night vomiting. Definitely food poisoning!!!!
I ordered 3 sandwiches online for curbside pickup. Arrived and waited over 10 minutes for the food. I hit the notification 3 times letting them know I was there. Had to go inside where I was told they didn't get the notification. Got home with the sandwiches. Two of the three were wrong. Missing spinach, lettuce, oil & vinegar. The driest sandwich I've ever had and didn't eat much of it. Asked for avocado slices but got smashed. Terrible service and terrible sandwiches.

The Best subway you can come across. The store is the most budgeted, there's all kinds of way to get food, ranging from take out, dine in, delivery, as well as a DRIVE THROUGH! this subway is definitely a one of a kind, if prices weren't through the roof, I'd eat here everyday.
Vegetarian options: Subway has a lot of options for vegetarians, going as far as to have salad bowls, and veggie sandwiches.
Dietary restrictions: Subway has so much options to allow your sandwiches to fit your needs, from diet friendly bread, to safe options as well, you'll find anything for subway
Parking: there are many spots for parking, as well as reserved parking for inaccessible people and curbside parking
Kid-friendliness: Staff are very understanding when kids are ordering, and everything about the place is very kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: there are barely an steps, while doors may become a problem, having another person or calling out for staff is very helpful

They renamed all of the sandwiches so it's almost impossible to figure out how to order from drive thru now. Staff were very kind food was made very well.

The woman who greeted me and started my order was pleasant. The woman who put my condiments on was a disappointment. She stared off, and didn’t say anything. I asked for mayo and ranch, she even repeated what I said and instead of ranch I got mustard. She even reaIized she gave me mustard and didn’t offer me a new sandwich. I didn’t have that much time to wait for a new one anyway, so I tried it. I took 3 bites and threw it away. Extremely disappointed.

First I'll say the staff were polite. Food tasted good. My biggest complaint is that I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap heavy lettuce, added bacon and Jalapenos. What u got was a flat bread used as a wrap, barely any lettuce no bacon or jalapeños. I also was driving back home to St. Cloud, so was not worth driving back. Really not sure how one uses flat bread for a wrap and then just ignores the extra items that I paid for.I should know better than to use the subway app at any subway I suppose.Not a good meal tonight!

What an amazing subway! I forgot my card at home and Jacob who works here paid for my food! And the sub was amazing to boot! Great store, great service, generous and kind staff!

I just spent $7.50 on this sandwich. I'm completely disappointed. If you guys knew how hard I worked for that $7.50 you'd never disrespect me like this. Not one smile, hello or welcome from the teenagers working behind the counter. You have one job, build my sandwich like you'd build your own, failed. The tall kid that built my sandwich looked new so I'll give him that, but the short blonde who looked like she wanted to burn the place down with everyone in it has been there, no excuse.
