The country music is so loud....why? We've been coming here for years and years! It's a beautiful view, nice modern patio--sometimes live music!-- after our weekly pool parties in summer, we always bring our guests to island view. AKA Vandys. The 2025 menu however, dropped some of our favorites and the meals seem skimpy.

We stopped here for lunch on our way down to Mystic Lake, I had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries - hands down the best Reuben I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the smash burger and said it was phenomenal! Fast forward to on our way home, we had to stop for lunch again it was so good! I had the Waconia steak sandwich and sweet potato fries - again, it was so delicious! My boyfriend had the smash burger again since he loved it so much the first time.
Definitely going to tell my friends how great this place is - and not to mention the great view of the beautiful golf course! We will be back in the future

Let it be known first and foremost. I've only been here once and it was for the prime rib and lobster after Thanksgiving special. I would never do this again. They were seriously understaffed for the amount of people they were trying to handle. Exorbitant wait times and the food was strictly mediocre at best.
Now on any normal day the place may be very good and I would be willing to go there on a normal day but I would never do an event there again.
We waited 1 hour and 32 minutes just for our drinks. The food was mediocre. We eventually left after waiting over 30 minutes for another serving of lobster. It's certainly wasn't all you can eat since it was difficult to even get another serving. Our waitress was great and even she was over how horrible the service was. She would put in an order, and it just seemed to never come. It was a waste of money and we won't be back.

We felt the atmosphere was wonderful, for once, a restaurant that was warm! And lighting was really nice too. Last restaurant we were at had a blinding light hanging over the table. Our server was very busy, it was 6pm, but that did not stop him from doing a nice job at our table. My husband is still dreaming about the steak sandwich and fries! The steak house salad ... delicious! The table next to us had the bluegills and they looked really good too! Loved it!

Food was OK, but over priced for what you get and the server was not so good. She never stopped back after food was delivered, we had to serve our own water, when we were ready for the check, I had to flag down the server who then just took my credit card but never showed me the bill. Atmosphere was great, service would make it so much better.

Had to get my own water. Server didn't know what types of salad dressings they had. Instead of finding out I got balsamic vinaigrette. Never checked in. I would have loved another glass of wine. Oh well.....live and learn.
