Wow......sitting there finishing out meal watched the lady that was taking orders come out to check the garbage....she used a tray to jam it down then while telling customers she just took garbage out 2 mins ago proceeded to get the trays from the other garbage cans and we watched her walk up to the front where she was taking orders and set them down where she was setting up new trays for customers.....guess we will stop elsewhere from now on. Both of us almost lost our lunch as we watched this unfold 🤢 we will stop somewhere else and grab ice cream 🍦😬

My family visiting from Texas came to watch my son's youth baseball game in Wadena and suggested getting DQ afterwards. We checked the Google hours (says 9:30, we arrived at 8:20ish) and decided to visit the Wadena store rather than drive to Perham. While ordering the cashier kept stating that they were closing at 8:30 to my father repeatedly. She also told other guests that we're asking about the status of their food order that they were closing. Our ice cream and minimal food order came out and, as we were finishing up at 8:45, the same cashier had the audacity to walk back and confront our party about why we were still there and that she had told us we were closing 15 minutes before. My father told her that we were paying customers and how horrible of service she was providing. She was verbally combative and didn't seem to understand how the service industry works. My father asked to see a manager and as the employee walked away she continued to run her mouth and be snippy. The supervisor came out and spoke with my dad, but didnt seem overly concerned with the employees outrageously unprofessional bahvior, but at least listened. As most of us all started the walk toward the door, she actually continued to bicker with us about why we couldn't go eat outside. I advised her to stop talking and walked out the door. I have never had such a poor customer experience at any restaurant, locally or abroad, ever. We chalked it up to the employee being very young, but seriously, I will never come back to the establishment and will recommend others to do the same. I hope that this situation is reviewed and addressed. If you want to close the lobby at 8:30, fine, but never allow employees to approach paying customers in the way this young lady did tonight for such a minor inconvenience. It's summer, 90 degrees out, and baseball season. You should be happy to be busy and always respectful to your guests.

I mean its dairy queen, but the wadena one and the staples one are a couple of the best
Restaurantji Recommends
Waited in line (very busy) at drive thu and got to the order speaker at 926 ( they say online they close at 930) but the speaker just had an automated person saying they were already closed. Even though it was not 930. Have had issues with this location. Also having friends drive through the drive through for nothing just to help them lower their drive time and also have had several orders come messed up or incorrect. Just thought since it was the last day of school I would get the kids and icecream treat but so much for that. Waste of time going to this location.
A young man and lady ,high-school teens I'm guessing we're working week night almost closing . We're arrived on motorcycles . The teens were super friendly and more than willing to accommodate us. on our late evening treats. He met us with a smile and gave great recommendations on new options. He walked out our treats to a outside seating area with a smile. 5 stars .
Friendly staff, clean . Food was good
Great Dairy Queen! Got my food out within a minute!!! There was this Blake kid that was the funniest thing 😂 he came Out the back with my bag hopping like a bunny (give him a raise) and the other day there was this cute kid named Micah 😍 10/10 would definitely date (I’m a 5’3 cute little blonde btw)
Since they renovated I'm not joking when I say this is the best DQ I've ever been to. I don't know what you guys are doing but please keep it up. The burgers are well crafted not sloppy, the ingredients are fresh, mobile orders are filled fast. Never feel bad after eating it. Little things like if you order a two piece chicken strip and one chicken strip is tiny they give you an extra so you're getting what you paid for. Staff are friendly and apologetic if they miss an item, they replace it without a hassle. Great experience. Never once regretted ordering. Highly recommend!
