I come here all of the time and it is amazing. But today was very different than my usual experience. We got our table and we wait 15 minutes for our server Nikki to bring us our water and ask what we wanted to order. It was not overly busy. We got our food promptly and it was good like always. When we ran out of water it took 20 minutes to get a refill and our server Nikki seen that the cups were empty. She was also very slow to get us anything we needed but the other tables she was helping got a lot better service. I would not recommend her as a server.

I come here almost every weekend and it's my favorite place. The food is amazing and the servers are usually perfect. But for the first time at this restaurant ive got bad service, our server nikki maybe came up us 3 times and we had to ask for water refills, between each round we would wait atleast 15 minutes after eating for her to come back to us. After that happened twice we decided to leave.

We’ve been to this place a bunch of times and usually it’s good, but this time was just bad. Our server Nikki was honestly terrible. She asked us what we wanted to drink, then just left and never brought the drinks. She came back and took our food order, but we still didn’t have our waters. We had to ask again, and she looked annoyed, which was kinda crazy. We got some food, then had to wait like 36 minutes for the rest, and it wasn’t even what we ordered. No apology or anything. This was super frustrating. We used to like coming here, but after this experience with Nikki, we’re not coming back. Do better…

I've eaten at dozens of these types of restaurants around the world and it's truly wild they will charge you for not eating all your rice!
I understand the meat, but rice?
Instead of possibly being regular customers our group of friends will not be going here in the future.

I liked the Philadelphia roll and beef soup and the green tea ice cream the best.

So my friend kept telling me how great this place was so I decided to give it a try. Food tasted great service could use some work tho. I applied for the serving position and worked to days only to get told that they no longer need me? Which was very confusing. They gave me no training and threw me into the fire basically. They expected me to know everything right off the bat which wasn't very fair to me. They also take 30% of your tips to give to back of house even tho they have a tip jar in the front at the sushi station for the back of house. How was that fair to me and the other servers it's also illegal to be taking tips like that without prior knowledge. The papers I was giving looked like check boxes and I told them straight up that hey I wasn't giving my tip money away I have a kid to feed and rent to pay I need every cent. After I found out all this I also noticed back of house seems to purposely ignore some of the tickets causing the customers to not get some of there food. I had to put in orders 5+ times before they finally get it done and sometimes it even took me going as far as getting one of the servers that spoke there language to talk to them since they refused to listen to me. Talk about disrespectful. For the short time I worked there the managers didn't know what they whwre doing. The one dude would yell at servers or the back of house to move faster or they would talk in another language behind others back. I left on my own terms highly recommend finding somewhere else to eat as these people don't really know what they are doing half the time. Huhot and Hajime are way way better and would highly recommend going there rather them wasting ur time and energy on this place. Just so yall are aware u need to make all orders not just pick and choose.

What a lovely little sushi buffet! Smaller portions are nice to sample things for people unsure of dishes new to them so you don't feel pressured to eat larger plates of undesirable items. Everything hot was hot and sashimi/sushi was cold! The waiter was amazing! Extremely friendly and prompt he kept finding plenty of time to ensure we were well taken care of all the while training a 1st day new employee. Some of the more expensive sushi bar items like hamachi aren't on the menu but that's to be expected for being buffet style. The restaurant was very clean and tidy with plenty of parking out front as well.

Everything we tried didn’t have any seasoning on it. Very disappointing bc it seems like it would be good for how much they charge and we were told they are the same owners as Akame in Maple Grove but unfortunately everything lacked flavor and is nothing like Akame or Kyotos in the cities.

This place has good food,
But upon arriving everything was going good by then I ordered and asked about something on the all you can eat and the server asked if I wanted to “try it” and I said yeah then later as I was waiting on my order he brought the rest of the stuff except the dish I was going to “try” I had asked if it was on the all you can eat and he said “no” and I said then I don’t want it… and he left and brought out the rest of the stuff, but he came back 10 minutes later with the dish still and he said “your the one who wanted to try it right?” I said no and that I explained to him I don’t want anything that’s not from the all you can eat menu, he got super mad and said that I did in fact want it and told him I wanted it brought out, he then refused to get me more food saying things like “I’ll be back” or passing by the table without asking if we wanted refills,
It completely ruined my experience, and honestly made everyone else around the restaurant look over because the guy was yelling to me, and at the end he had a big old smile on his face because he was able to charge a big ol gratuity anyways, honestly his server skills were a bare minimum, would have tipped absolutely nothing… hopefully this guy learns some manners and or gets fired. If I could get a refund I’d definitely give this place a good name and bring them more business.

Will NOT continue to go here anymore. Called in an order for Teriyaki Salmon he said the total was $18 on the phone. Okay, cool. When I showed to get it, oh and this was my BIRTHDAY as well, so I was REALLY looking forward to this meal. The girl at the front said $28. I looked at the recipe which said Hibachi Salmon, and told her I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon she was going to just fix it and all would’ve been fine, BUT NO the manager (mrgx) I’m assuming…( Asian guy wearing all black 8:30 pm) started yelling things in their language, SUPER DISRESPECTFUL. I told him what was going on in a respectful manner and he came up closer to my face yelling, people in the restaurant looking, telling me that this is what I ordered on the phone, so this is what I get and he won’t fix the price. So UNPROFESSIONAL. I’d rather travel to Akame Sushi in Maple Grove than to be seen eating at this TERRIBLE restaurant. Glad other places around St. Cloud are open later on Sundays, cause I went to Texas Roadhouse and they had MUCH better customer service than this place will ever have! Will NEVER EVER go here again!!!!!!! 😡
