Brought my two kids here for dinner. We had shrimp, taco salad, and fries. All very good. Nothing fancy, just tasty home cooking, which is exactly what we wanted. The fries were super crispy, yum! Pretty sure the restaurant doesn't have anything to do with the funky taste of the water, and that's just how the municipal water tastes. Bring quarters for the coin-drop game!

Oh man! So delicious. This is a certain kind of vibe — sort of like just a regular small town local bar but we love that kind of spot. The food was soo good! Every thing was delicious. We enjoyed cheese curds, nachos Philly cheesesteak (highly recommend) and some kid meals burger (also good), mini corn dogs & popcorn chicken. They fried those items to perfection! Like so crisp! The tater tots are a must!

They served most things in baskets, plastic utensils, paper plates, etc so just an fyi but we didn’t mind at all.

Also there is a liquor store connected to the entrance so if you need a spot to grab drinks for going back to the campground this is a good spot.

Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are affordable $8 or less. Most were $5. They are served with pudding & fries or tater tots.

They also had kid menus with coloring + crayons.

We were in town for the 50th anniversary of LHOTP & stopped in for a late lunch. There were people in & out picking up orders, people coming in & you can imagine how busy it was! All the staff that was working treated us with a smile & kindness, we did have to wait for a bit (which we were prepared for!) they never lost their cool... even if some of the customers did (um, we are still waiting for food! Hello! This is a small place & they are doing the best they can... deal with it) Kudos to you staff... I would have called in sick this weekend 😂😂

As others have stated, the food choices in this town are limited. We walked in a bit skeptical of what we'd find. We were greeted by a darker bar and grill area complete with pool tables. They also offer a dining room with outside light streaming in. With only one person on staff, we found our seat and ordered worrying how long it would take. But we were pleasantly surprised!

The appetizer came out quick, hot and tasty. The food came out quickly and everything tasted good. We got the breaded cauliflower with ranch, Asian zing chicken wrap, and Pa Burger. We enjoyed it, so we went back a second time during our visit and got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and BLT.

Staff was friendly, good prices, and food was tasty!

Parking: Spots on the street right in front of the store.

It's a small place, but one of the only bars you'll find pool tables. For a small town it's the only thing you can find. Need a bar buddy then let me know...

First and last time to dine in. Ordered half an order of the gizzards, an order of the chicken wings & a California burger with fries for a party of 2. Waited an hour for the food. A party of 4 came in about 20 mins after us but got their food 10mins before us. Customer service wasn't the best. Didn't even get an apology for the wait. Thanks but no thanks! We'll dine somewhere else next time !

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. My husband and I both ordered a burger and they were very good. It took a while to get them but they came out hot and fresh. The bun was also soft and fresh and the cook cooked them medium as we requested. I also enjoyed a Black Cherry Soda which was a treat! There aren't many choices of restaurants in Walnut Grove but this one is a definite yes.

Great food and great people working there! I recommend the fish sandwich or grilled shrimp dinner!
