11 of us from Forte Living had such a great time at Area 57! Friendly staff, a clean restaurant, cozy atmosphere, quick service, and absolutely delicious food made for the perfect meal! Several of us enjoyed the tomato soup, and one resident said it was the best she has ever had! From the lavender London fog to the chicken wrap, Rueben sandwich to grilled cheese, everything was so good! We definitely recommend Area 57 and are already looking forward to trying their new restaurant, Union Cafe in Dodge Center!

I had a fantastic experience at Area 57! The atmosphere is a perfect blend of nostalgia and contemporary style—it has a charming 50s exterior/ambience that opens up into a beautiful, modern interior. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the visit even better. But the real star was the peanut butter pie; it was absolutely delicious and a must-try. This is a gorgeous little spot that I’ll definitely be returning to!

I was told to visit here during my stop at a local manufacturer. I was told that this place (paraphrasing) puts them on the map. One could easily overlook the town in general (literally, you blink and miss it), but with the hype given in pretext, it was almost like a dare to not go. Do you ever look at something and think to yourself, damn, that's gonna taste good? That's the pie, and it was. I took home a piece of every pie they had just because I convinced myself I deserved it. The coffee was good. Like, really good. And the sandwich I had was the typical BLT, and maybe it was just the vibe that day, but I was sad I was too full to finish it completely. The weather may have been horrible, but it made the drive home easier and I am glad I stopped in.

I had heard many raves about Area 57 Coffee Cafe when we contacted them to cater a family gathering at Holden Community Park. Start to finish, everything was simply excellent. Nicole put together a lunch menu, with many great, tasty options, that included a charcuterie snack cup. Every detail was handled, from flower vases with Norwegian colors, to table covers, utensils, plates, bowls and cups. From set-up to clean-up, everything went like clockwork. Slam dunk five-star catering!

If you love coffee, excellent food, in a cozy small town cafe, you must try Area 57 in Wanamingo, Minnesota. This lovely cafe offers some of the best food I've ever eaten whether I'm dining in or getting takeout along with delicious hot & cold coffee drinks! They serve break, lunch, & dinner as well as sinfully delicious desserts! Their peanut butter silk pie is the best I've ever had! I always stop here on my way to and from the Mayo Clinic to treat myself to their delicious food & beverages & I get takeout to bring back to my husband in Minneapolis!
