We really enjoyed the food. The employees are wonderful and some are just downright adorable. The ambiance is perfect for a laid-back dining experience. The owners really take pride in their restaurant.

This is probably one of the best places I’ve eaten Mexican food at in Minnesota. Asada fries were phenomenal and the Ranchero Molcajete was amazing. Agua de horchata can be improved, but I still give them a 5 star overall. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

YES! this is a great place. The Al Pastor street tacos are excellent, 8/10 - almost perfection! Excellent place, fast service, excellent food. Limited seating because it is popular and busy which is a good thing! The top shelf margaritas are amazing. No disappointments here.

I have eaten my share ofMexican food all over the Twin Cities Area. This is the best out of all of them. My fiancé has eaten at Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen in Vegas; he says their food compares.I’ve ordered multiple things off their menu, never had an item that wasn’t delicious. I keep taking all my friends and family here to share it with them because something this good just has to be shared.Best part isn’t the food though, it’s the people. The staff here are amazing! (Shoutout to Salvador and KP who were my first intro to this place and made it great!) They’re attentive, knowledgable of their food and just nice people. I’ve been there enough now that staff greet me by name and ask for updates about my kiddo. They also have helped with local school fundraisers; giving back to the community. So glad we have this place in our little town!

This place was recommended by someone at the Watertown Pharmacy. I asked the server which meal would blow my mind. He recommended the Catrina's Plate which comes with chicken, shrimp and steak each marinated and seasoned in their own way. IT WAS AMAZING!!!Kid-friendliness: They offer cheeseburgers for the non-Mexican eating members of the family.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps. Tables in the middle would have space for a wheelchair.

I never write reviews, especially halfway through my meal but I had to stop and do it. The tamales were the best I've ever had. The masa mixture was moist and buttery and the filling was fantastic! My husband had seafood enchiladas and none of the seafood was overcooked or rubbery. Everything was fresh and just spot on. Our waitress was fantastic and there was a young man that seated us who checked on us, cleared our dishes etc. He was very personable for such a young man and he just made our night awesome! And don't even get me started on the prices. Cheap!!! I will be recommending La Catrina to everyone I know!

Watertown, you have no idea what a gem you have in this place. My husband is Hispanic, his father is from Michuacan. We are very picky about our Mexican food. This is about as authentic as you can get. We live in Colorado and came to visit family in MN, this restaurant outdoes most restaurants even in Colorado. Amazing food, great service. The salsa and chips are sooo good. The flan to die for. We can't wait to come back. Don't walk..run to this place. Muchas gracias por una gran experiencia!!

Tried La Catrina for the first time last night and was pretty well pleased. It's a cute little restaurant/ bar in Watertown; tucked away in a small strip mall, with decent seating and a nice little bar area. The menu is large and covers a number of Mexican restaurant standards, as well as several unique combinations. The "standard" for me at a new place like this is "Salsa Verde" - carnitas cooked in salsa verde, with beans and rice - and their's did not disappoint! Finely shredded (and lean) pork carnitas and the refried beans were very flavorful. If I had a criticism, the meal was too salty for me - but only just. Overall, well pleased. My partner had "Las Tres Marias" enchiladas. Per her notes, the chicken was excellent, the beef was very good, the cheese enchilada rated a "fair". In addition, the "Choriqueso" dip we ordered was also good - though better spread over her rice than on a chip. One of the highlights of the visit were the margaritas! We had two "Top Shelf" margaritas (made with lime and Don Julio Reposado) and both were well made, balanced and flavorful, albeit a bit expensive for this area at $15 a piece. To sum up, based on this experience, we will definitely come back to La Catrina and try other items from their menu!Vegetarian options: Felt they had a decent selection in the "Vegetarian" section of the menu. Although she has some chicken and beef this time, my wife frequently opts for vegetarian meals.Parking: La Catrina is in a strip mall - so plenty of parking available.
