Solid bar food and quick service. They have a decent beer selection and plenty of TVs to watch sports. I've had nachos, burgers, and patty melts here. All have been good.

Maritza and Alyssa are the best and absolutely amazing. They hold down the back bar like no other. My boyfriend and I will always return just for the customer service that they provide. 11/10 6 stars

This is probably a good place to gather with friends. It is NOT a sports bar. Unless you are only interested in ESPN. They do not tune in Mn Gopher football unless you ask. Even then the atmosphere is dead. I have been refused when asking for Wild, Lynx or Olympics. “This is a football bar.” But it’s not.

I hosted a high school reunion here and we had a fantastic time! Not only did we really enjoy having use of the party room but we also were able to enjoy the patio. Food was fantastic (chicken wings, pizza and Italian fries with marinara sauce), service was terrific and it was a great atmosphere for our get together. I would definitely do another event here.

the food and staff are great. Honestly, the music is way too loud! There’s no need for the volume to be turned up so much. I was with a group and many were much younger then several of us, and they even commented on the volume being excessive.

The food was great! We had tacos, we had sliders, we had the largest onion rings I've ever seen. Fries were late, but kitchen mishaps happen. The staff was friendly and courteous. I definitely have already recommended it to my twin cities friends.

I’ve been a loyal customer of The BLVD for years — I’ve dined here regularly and have even hosted an event at the restaurant. I’ve always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, which is why it’s so frustrating to be writing this. A visit in May left me feeling disappointed — not just because of the issue itself, but because of how it was handled.

During that visit, the fly problem was overwhelming. It was difficult to enjoy the meal while constantly swatting flies away, and we even had to cover our food with napkins just to keep them off our plates. It felt unsanitary and uninviting. I understand that flies can be hard to manage in open-air spaces, but when they’re this pervasive — including in the lobby and the areas where food is being prepared — it becomes a serious concern.

In response to my feedback, I was told that “the kitchen is up to code and that the restaurant recently passed a health inspection”. I don’t doubt that’s true, but it doesn’t address the core issue I brought up. You can’t fully control flies when windows and doors are left open — but that also means you can’t fully prevent hundreds of flies from entering spaces where food is being handled. That’s a problem.
I’ve thought about this a lot in the time since, and what ultimately pushed me to write this review is the complete lack of follow-up. No additional response, no real acknowledgment, and frankly, what felt like a lack of genuine care. My concerns didn’t feel heard — they felt dismissed.

I truly want to continue supporting The BLVD, but unless this ongoing issue is taken seriously and addressed, I don’t see myself returning. If customers are having to cover their food with napkins just to keep it fly-free, you’d hope the restaurant would offer some kind of resolution or incentive to maintain customer retention. Cleanliness and customer care should be a top priority — and right now, neither one seems to be.

Food was good just couldn't catch my server long enough to get silverware. I did order a sandwich and Fries but my French dip I prefer fork a knife. Servers were gathered chatting by the bar.

Showed up for opening night football excited to watch the game. They had a live music combo that was turned up way too loud but we figured they would be done playing at kickoff. The staff was amazing and helped us get the game on the TVs with the sound but then the singer started singing again just in time to sing over the national anthem. The bar staff was amazing and attentive but it seemed tone deaf to have a singer during the football game at a sports bar. I also had to remind the staff to unlock a locked exit door. We left to watch the game at another bar where we could hear the game.

Food was fab and the bartender was super friendly and gave top-notch service. I had the spicy beef bowl which was amazing and just the right amount of spice. My boyfriend had the teriyaki bowl and it was flavorful and a decent portion size. Such a blast of a spot to pop in for a killer meal and a rockin' good time!

This place is awful. They claim they didn’t have a specific drink because ‘they didn’t want it to bring a certain crowd in the bar.’ Save your money and go somewhere else. The food is nasty and the service is horrible.
