BRIE Catering was great to work with for our wedding catering. The food tasted absolutely amazing (we were getting compliments all night long), the prices were a lot more reasonable compared to other wedding caterers we looked at, and the day of operation went smoothly aside from a few miscommunications about what was already pre-paid for (we had pre-tipped the staff a month or so prior and paid for closing staff and cake cutting services but those items weren’t showing up on their end resulting in my mom and coordinator getting pulled aside a few times throughout the evening to sort out) - it all got resolved though . Also if there's left over cake that you want to keep, I would recommend asking the day-off staff to hold on to it because they ended up throwing our left over slices away. Aside from those minor hiccups, everything else went smoothly and most importantly, the food tasted amazing and was presented beautifully.

The staff were helpful, professional and did a efficient. Christina made planning and last minute changes easy. I will highly recommend and consider this caterer for a future event.

Brie cater provided full catering and bar service for a recent wedding I attended at Union Depot in St. Paul. Everything was fantastic! Food was hot and full of flavor. And the bartenders were very funny and friendly. Over all great experience!

We hosted an even with Brie catering at Jamesons (Bella Room) and had a wonderful experience. Brian was able to get us the space reserved at very short notice on our part and he was flexible with the guest list. I was estimating 50 people but over 125 showed up(!) thankfully the room was big enough but more importantly the staff wasn’t phased and replenished the appetizer buffet and bar as needed. Highly recommend this staff and company!

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, we were contacted by the owner of Brie Cater and told that instead of a gift card, he would send us a $100 check in return for deleting our review. We were appalled at the attempt to buy out our review and the lack of integrity shown. We stand behind our review and hope that it will help others make an informed decision.We chose Brie Cater because it was moderately priced and on our recommended catering list for our venue. We found Christina, the contact person for Brie, to be frustrating to work with as she often didn't reply to emails promptly and would only address parts emails. On the day of, she was very short with my husband when he asked a question about a table that was left out during set up. The food was overall a let down and very different from our tasting. The appetizers were much smaller than the ones presented at the tasting and the salads were small plates of greens with a few strawberries and dressing. Our biggest issue was the beef. We chose the steak and had asked in our consultation how this would be prepared. We were reassured that it would be served medium rare. The majority of the steaks that arrived where almost raw, rare at best. Mine was almost purple and actually still cold at the center. I learned after the wedding that the waitstaff didn't check in at many of the tables after the food was served so there was no opportunity to send the steaks back. Many the guests either cut around their steaks or gave them to a family member who was going to bring them home for his dogs. When we contacted Brie about this after the wedding, they were defensive, claiming that not many people had sent their steak back and they didn't see a lot of leftovers when clearing plates. Although, in my opinion, it's hard to send something back when no one checks in on your guests and there will be no leftovers if they're in a bag for the dogs. BRIE offered to send a gift card for their restaurant to compensate for my steak as the bride, but they never followed through in sending one. Overall there are better caterers for the price out there.

They would be my first recommendation for a caterer for their kindness, professionalism, and their fantastic food!

From the tasting to the day of, they had such great attention to detail and it was clear they had a passion for food. All night, our guests kept coming up to us and saying how incredible the food was, and how it was the best wedding food they'd ever eaten. I would absolutely recommend Brie Cater! We used them for our December wedding at Lowertown Event Center and were thrilled with our experience with them. They were familiar with LEC as they have catered there many times, which was a relief that I didn't have to worry about them familiarizing themselves with the venue. Brian and Christina were so responsive and had wonderful customer service throughout my entire wedding planning process (which was a solid year and a half)! When we had the tasting with Brian, it made us even more excited to work with Brie! The food was delicious and the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I also loved how flexible he was with making changes to the food/presentation to make it coincide with my Winter wedding! The food at the wedding was just as good as in the tasting and all of our guests were raving on how delicious everything was (and how beautiful the plates were). The staff was amazing and so attentive to all my guests! The price worked well with my budget and the value that you get for what you pay is well worth it! Highly, highly recommend!
