The food here is overpriced and unspectacular. The lighting is so bad people were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. We did have good service, but that doesn't make up for the disappointing entrees.

My wife and I had not been to Gordys in years. It is still remindful of a "throwback" to earlier steakhouses. I was looking for the Seeburg jukebox in the corner somewhere ;-) We were seated immediately and enjoyed an excellent glass of wine. I ordered a steak & fries, and my wife had the chicken marsala, a favorite of hers. The fries came out hot and crispy just the way I like them. The steak was done perfectly and was super tender. My wife's chicken marsala was just excellent. She loved it. The wait staff was attentive and cheerful. My only complaint is that the "retro" lighting in the place is quite dark! It's really hard to see with the lights so low. It provides a certain ambiance to dinner, but a little more light would be good for my old eyes. Other than that minor annoyance, we loved Gordys and will be back much sooner.
Parking: There is a parking lot across the street, but it is smaller and was full when we were looking. There is also street parking, but again fairly limited, and was all taken in the area immediately by the restaurant. We ended up parking in a lot down the street a ways.
Wheelchair accessibility: The front door entrance is barrier free, you can wheel right in (no steps). The seating area is larger than what it looks like from the street. Quite roomy with lots of seating. I did not check out the restroom layout however.

I’ve been here countless times with my family and usually the food at service is great. Unfortunately this time it was not. After a few bites of the steak they served me I ended up sick in their restroom. When I had them take it back, they were rude to my party for the rest of the night. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll return since clearly their quality has gone downhill.

For the price, just doesn't hold up to the quality you're after for a $50 Ribeye. Too thin a cut to begin with, maybe that's why a medium rare order is served medium well. Service is pleasant enough and the ambiance is fine, even if they didn't bother to have the fireplace going on a Sat night in Winter. Was excited to try out this place but there are far better places for a couple to drop a $200 bill for dinner.
Total supper club atmosphere. The staff are absolutely amazing, that's what makes the experience so special. The food is good. Not great. We had prime rib, it was chewy and not cooked to order. But they fixed it well enough. Still worth a visit.

Absolutely love this place!! The food is amazing! Top shelf margarita is oh so savory! The crème brûlée is to die for! I’ve never had a better filet mignon! The salmon is spectacular! I love that they don’t make a big fuss over birthdays but they do give you a free spumoni ice cream. We will definitely be back.
