The food here is overpriced and unspectacular. The lighting is so bad people were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. We did have good service, but that doesn't make up for the disappointing entrees.
My wife and I had not been to Gordys in years. It is still remindful of a "throwback" to earlier steakhouses. I was looking for the Seeburg jukebox in the corner somewhere ;-) We were seated immediately and enjoyed an excellent glass of wine. I ordered a steak & fries, and my wife had the chicken marsala, a favorite of hers. The fries came out hot and crispy just the way I like them. The steak was done perfectly and was super tender.
