Had my very first Somali cuisine experience here! My colleagues and I loved this place. The local/authentic vibe was fantastic and the owner was super nice. I had Sambusa (one of the best) and Injera with squaar. Good portion. As someone with braces, I especially enjoyed the thin, crepe-like Injera. Don’t let the exterior fool you—there’s more to this place than meets the eye! Once you taste the food, you’ll be blown away ?
This is a Somali restaurant that focuses on serving the local Somali population... and some of us who are able to get past the challenges of doing business with them.They offer a number of Somali dishes from a picture menu with names, prices (low), and pictures. I really really enjoyed this place. They have what I believe to be the best sambusas I have ever eaten. Granted my sample size is only about seven or eight different types of sambusa but these guys were amazing. So much meat so much delicious flavor.The meals we ordered were also very very good. I would highly recommend this. Curiously enough they did not allow me to tip.
