Ever since having Somali tea, I've not wanted regular and boring tea.
This was the best Somalian tea I've tasted since being a Minnesota Newbie.
The most Somalian thing to do is to eat banana with your meal...AND DID!
I loved it with the rice. Sweet and savory... I'm with you when you are right ✅️.
I had the fish, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.
Oh, and the Tuna Samosa...OMG.

I wanted to like it but everything about the whole experience was very unpleasant. I have no idea how this place is rated so high and that they can even stay open. FYI just because it smells like straight up pinesol does not make it clean. The hygienic standards are very subpar. Do NOT use the restroom!

This is a great place to come for a snack (sambusas!), a meal, or just for tea! There is cozy seating in the back and service has always been gracious.

Bro this place can't be explained any better. My favorite meal is Sambusa wrapped with Malawah. Get 2 of those and some milk and tea. The best.

Restaurantji Recommends
My first time having Somali food. I had Chicken Kay Kay with rice, a Beef Sambusa, and a malawah for dessert. Excellent! I recommend them all, as well as the spicy green sauce they come with. The coffee here needs cream and IMO should not be consumed black. That too was suggested by the helpful host, who made it perfectly. If I lived in Willmar I would eat here every week. I hope to visit again before I leave town and perhaps more in the future whenever I head out this way.

We were very excited to try this place as it has good reviews on google. We went into the restaurant on a Friday evening and every table was dirty. The only employee was on his phone, which disappointed me because there was no other customers and he still didn't do the bare minimum to bus tables. I asked for a menu and was given a dirty menu with six loose pages inside of it. Most of them were doubles and all of them were cheap inkjet printouts you could barely read due to water stains. We ordered 3 entrees to share. The employee brought out an appetizer we didn't order, but he kept talking about how good it was and asking us if we enjoyed it. I thought he was being kind since we were the only customers in the restaurant, but he ended up charging us for it. The food was good, but all the meats were very dry.We had to ask for plates and silverware twice and he did not bring out enough for the table until we asked him again for more. When our check came we were shocked at how much we were charged since it was easily 20-25 dollars more than the menu prices. He told us those prices were wrong and he also charged us for the appetizer we didn't order. He then disappeared for 10-15 minutes and the other employee could not ring us up and asked us to wait. When he finally came back we said the bill was way higher than we expected. He eventually knocked ten dollars off, but it was still far greater than the menu prices reflected. We did enjoy the food, but left with bad tastes in our mouths from the experience as a whole.
Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibly to all.
