Very friendly people!
Food was delicious and brought back fond memories for my parents. We ordered two entrees to share for breakfast and they brought us sambusas to start, I'm not sure if they were included in the price or not. The hot tea was wonderful. After checking out they walked us across the street to show us where we could buy our own tea to make at home.
The bathroom was in a locked separate part of the building, that you had to ask to get to and it was out of all towels soaps and paper.

I came with a group for lunch, half the group was brought meals we didn’t order.we shared this with waiter who informed them “no,this is what you ordered..”🤣,the even bigger surprise was getting charged $20 for each lunch entree at what looked like a modest Somali cafe…we were good sports about but won’t come again.

Recommended dishes: Samosa, Goat with Rice Chicken Kay Kay and a Chicken Quesadilla
My fiancé and us ordered the vegetarian entree on the menu, and we’re given 2 random (goat we think) entrees that we did not order. I asked for the correct order and the server said they didn’t have it and didn’t have anything without meat. My fiancé ate the goat and didn’t really like it, tried some of his sister’s chicken dish which was fantastic, wish they had let him at least order a meat dish of his choosing.
I ate the side of rice and marinated onions off of his plate which was also delicious, would have happily paid for just a plate of rice and onions if they didn’t have a vegetarian dish but that was not an option. Seemed offended that I would order something without meat when it was on the menu and not informed that it was out of stock until it was too late.

Ever since having Somali tea, I've not wanted regular and boring tea.
This was the best Somalian tea I've tasted since being a Minnesota Newbie.
The most Somalian thing to do is to eat banana with your meal...AND DID!
I loved it with the rice. Sweet and savory... I'm with you when you are right ✅️.
I had the fish, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.
Oh, and the Tuna Samosa...OMG.

I wanted to like it but everything about the whole experience was very unpleasant. I have no idea how this place is rated so high and that they can even stay open. FYI just because it smells like straight up pinesol does not make it clean. The hygienic standards are very subpar. Do NOT use the restroom!
