A small piece of advice if you are in a group though; Always remember to ask your server to put anything you order on an individual plate as they tend to stack everything and by the time the food is served you don’t remember what you ordered.Other than that it was a great and wholesome experience. Food is fresh, made to order, delicious, and service was excellent.

I ordered wings got some really plain chicken dinner of some sort of fried rice tasted plain and burnt. My order was spoze to be roughly $12 and I ended up paying $25. It was the most boring no flavored food I've ever tried I ended up throwing it all out. What a waist of $25. But u never know something else LIKE THE FOOD I ACTUALLY ORDERED may have tasted better. I will never know

I usually went to this place if im craving for sushi. The food itself was not bad, but their service was terrible. This review is directed specifically to one of the older asian lady staff. I went it for dinner, and i ordered my food. I was just enjoying my food, ans she came to check on me, i said i was fine, and when i finished what. I had, i ordered couple more small items from her since she was my server, but she gave me this annoyed look. then with only one of the items arrived, she came asked "do you want the check?" I told her I'm still waiting for my other items. Then when the other items arrived, lo and behold she juay came and gave me the check while i was still eating. I got annoyed, paid for my food, and left a note on the back of the receipt that i was being rushed. I was there to enjoy my dinner. Never again im going back to this place, unless this lady got retrained or she no longer there. Im willing to go further to get my share of sushi next time.

I had ordered Sushi to go when I got there. The wait was reasonable, and the sushi was OK, nothing special.

The food was terrific. The all you can eat was certainly worth it and the sake was great. Plus the service was incredibly fast. Definitely will come back. #9 roll was my personal favorite.

We usually dine in Akita and have the best experience with the food, our servers and the totality of the experience. However, when we dined yesterday, we had a different experience. We were a party of five people that came but we had alterations to our usual setup with ordering food since we mostly go there for the all you can eat experience. My sister already ate so she asked if she can just sit while the rest of us eat. My brother has special needs and he wanted to order something off of the A-la-carte menu so we asked our server if it was possible if he didn’t eat AYE while the rest of us would. Our server agreed and he ordered a Don meal. He wanted extra rice which is how he likes his meals but from this moment our server became increasingly suspicious. We went about ordering food for us in the AYE menu.. got our food and started enjoying it.However, as we went about the night, our server kept on policing us how we should eat our food. My mom doesn’t like too much batter on her tempura so she took out some and the server didn’t like that. She kept saying don’t do this and don’t do that which left us appalled at how much she interrupted our meal by telling us what not to do. At one point, I think she thought we were giving food to my brother (ordered out of the regular menu) which was not the case. My mom was just helping my brother out with his food. Our waiter who delivered the meals, delivered a second batch of our orders and got reprimanded by the server in front of us about putting too much dipping sauce given to the table. She nitpicked on everything which became really annoying instead of us enjoying a quiet dinner.Overall, we lost our appetite and left. Love this restaurant a lot but maybe we’ll ask for a different server next time.

This was my first time visiting Akita. My family and I usually go to Benihana's but we decided to try something local near home. We all ordered the Hibachi meals. When our food came out, the plates were not even warm to the touch. They also did not have the sides of rice nor the soup sent out for another 5-10 minutes later. We tasted a couple of bites but nothing on the plate was hot or even remotely warm. When the server came back with our soup and rice, I told her our food was not warm but she didn't understand. Another server came over. I told her the same. She took our plates. About 10 minutes passed and she brought back the plates. There was no steam coming from the plates and again, the food was not warm at all. Additionally, sesame seeds were added to the dish that weren't there before. One of my children is allergic to sesame seeds. I told the server this. She apologized and said that was her doing and would bring another plate. My daughter had to wait another 10-15 minutes to eat. When her plate came, you could see the steam rising from it. When I tasted her food, it was hot and fresh. Needless to say, this experience was very disappointing, especially with the price of the meal being over $100. We will not be back.

Food was good today. Service was good. Packed on a Friday evening. Got my sushi fix in... not the best quality seafood but very good for ayce. The tuna and mackerel sashimi felt a bit watery. They ran out of hamachi kama which I think Is fish collar(only serve on wknds), will have to try that nxt time.
