Green Mill Restaurant & Bar

Was there last night for dinner. Was seated in the back of the restaurant by the area that usually has events/large parties. Placed an order for garlic cheese bread, before ordering our pizza (which took 35 minutes). The garlic bread came out three minutes before the pizza. What is the point of an appetizer then?

A large party came in with lots of kids being extremely loud (fine). Management didn’t bother to come ask if we wanted to move, we the customers had to ask if it was okay to move. After moving our service was completely ignored, maybe one drink refill offered, nobody checking on us if wanted anything else, had to wait 20 minutes extra after our dishes had been cleared for the check.

Addressed the concerns with the manager and typically I am not that kind of person. Manager couldn’t have cared less for the feedback.

Will not be returning and instead will go to the location in Hudson.

Green Mill has the best pizza sauce in the Twin Cities, hands down. Not too sweet, not too acidic like others, just perfect!

Great deep dish, decent wings. Shitty service.

Edit: deep dish quality has gone down. More like a store bought crust with regular sauce and cheese. Heated up in a microwave.

Great place. I'd rate the pizza as the best I've encountered (and I'm really old, so there's that); stopping for an il primo deep dish is a must when we venture through the twin cities.

One of my worst dining experiences to date. Our server apparently wasn't a server (her words not mine), which meant no refills on drinks, and incredibly delayed service, with our food going to other tables, before eventually getting to us. Known for pizza? I received a comically undercooked medium Pepperoni Pizza. Unless you're a barstool, avoid the dining experience here.

Was out here about a week ago, around Tuesday evening at about 7pm with my wife and 2yr old. It wasn’t too busy, a few tables with families and some people at the bar area. We got seated with no issue with staff walking around. We were seated next to another small family enjoying their meal (thought we’d enjoy ourselves too).

We waited more than 10-15 without being acknowledged by anyone, no water, nothing, staff walked by without saying anything, we tried to get their attention but they looked/ walked away before we had a chance. At that point we decided to leave and told the front desk staff no one came by and helped us so we’re leaving, he apologized but at that point we weren’t going to stay any longer.

I noticed that right when we got to our car a waiter came by the family that we sat next to and helped them, kind of convenient how that worked out. Would not be going here anytime soon.

when we called in and ask about pizza special. They didnt tell both of them. I would have ordered the other special. Then it wasnt ready on time. The topper was I had to break a 20.00 for .3 cents. I know I am only one customer. I came in there at least once a week. Because of the .3 cents not because of the other two problems. I will not be back.
