We finally made it to Machete Cocina after living in Woodbury for 6 years, now our whole family is frustrated with ourselves for waiting this long! The chips and salsa were excellent, my son and I shared the two-meat Quesadillota… unreal. Easily one of the best things we’ve eaten in a long time.
We were seated in the back, which made it really easy to actually have a conversation without feeling rushed or surrounded by noise. We’re a hockey family, so our waiter even turned on some playoff hockey on the projection screen TV in the back for us. That small gesture made a big impression and added a lot to the experience.
Everything was flavorful, fresh and worth going back for. Great food and a great experience. We’ll definitely be back.
If you’ve been putting off trying this place like we did, don’t wait anymore, GO!

I love this place, the food is consistently delicious, and the guest experience is very nice. The atmosphere is also quite lovely and upscale feeling. Very clean place and good drinks as well!

One of my favorite places in Woodbury and a frequent family visit for us. The service is always very friendly and the food is delicious. I’m a fan of their quesabirria tacos and the chimichanga. The street tacos and enchiladas are also terrific.

The food was amazing! I had the Barbacoa quesadilla and it was so good. My friend had the burrito bowl and loved it as well. I highly recommend this place. It also has a cool vibe with murals behind the bar. The only thing we didn't love was the happy hour beer it almost seemed like it was watered down. I ordered the Surly Furious and it did not taste strong like it usually does .

I'm very sad to see such a nice place that I don't think will continue to be open for much longer the service is severely lacking we were served cold corn dip the alcohol had no alcohol the service was absolutely hard to find our food sat in the window for a while and when I tried to use the bathroom at the end of the meal it was so nasty that I could not use it. Highly recommend you do not go here!

I ate at the Woodbury location on Sunday, Nov. 23. My bill came to $25.27, or $26.27 if paid by card, which I did. I also left a $6 cash tip. But when I checked my bank account online, they had charged $31.27--an extra $5 in their pocket. Very dishonest. In addition, the menus were sticky and the food (chimichanga) was mediocre at best. More like something you could pick up in the frozen food aisle at Cub. If you choose to eat there, don't expect much. And hang onto your receipt (which sadly, I did not) and check your bank account. If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT recommend!

My coworker and I ordered from here for takeout via their website. Both of our orders were incorrect and items were missing. We had ordered a quesadilla with protein and fajita veggies but there were no beans, rice, or fajita veggies.
The restaurant claims that it no longer includes beans and rice, however when you order from their website it includes that. They claimed they will reimburse us for the missing veggies but continue to lie about it the rice and beans ever being included on the menu.
Please do not false advertise items on your website site that is no longer offered.
Update: We still have not been refunded even though they promised us they would. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
