Ground Round Grill & Bar

I was disappointed in an experience my family had. We went out for my husbands and my anniversary. Dining room was unavailable, so we had to eat in the bar section which we usually avoid. Our waitress was friendly and did well, but the issue we had is in regards to food restriction/allergy. We asked about a GF menu, and were told there was not one but they could make things with no bun or croutons. I asked if something specific on the menu was gluten free/wheat free on the packaging and the waitress asked the kitchen. She came back promptly and said it contained no wheat.I decided to ask the manager working in passing if she knew the brand of the item and she got back with the brand. I then explained to her that the specific brand mentioned usually has wheat as an ingredient in their products. She was understanding enough to go and print off the nutritional label to bring to me to say it did not have wheat, but I looked at it and immediately pointed out to her that “wheat gluten” was literally the second ingredient. Sadly, I had the impression that she didn’t understand the issue, or that “wheat gluten” is in fact “wheat” and “gluten.” Other restaurants have gluten free options for this same item, but not here. I realize that’s a company issue and not this locations fault, but kitchen staff and managers should be able to see “wheat gluten” and know that it’s not safe for someone avoiding wheat/gluten in general.Honestly, this is a major issue. If I had trusted the waitress when she first asked the kitchen staff and left it at that, I could have become very sick and remained sick for several weeks (or longer). I could have even had an anaphylactic reaction.While the staff was friendly, I don’t feel comfortable returning here unless staff are better trained to recognize allergens. And ideally have a properly labeled menu…Overall this was a disappointing anniversary supper for us that could have ended very poorly… We will choose other places in the future.

My father and I ate here and the burger and fries were decent, but had a lot of bad/inedible fries. My father had the breaded haddock and it was awful! There was 3 TINY/SKINNY pieces of WAY over cooked fish and he also had a lot of inedible fries. Probably won't come back. Very disappointed! We've always had good food here until tonight. With the expensive meals, we expected better food!

We had such good memories of our first visit, we made a point to eat here again on our second road trip out west. We sat outside. The service and food were as good as we remembered. And the restaurant is conveniently located next to the Holiday Inn Express.

The burgers were good, but do not get the Buffalo chicken wrap was not Buffalo sauce. And chicken tenders where over cooked and dry. Not worth the money

Worthington MN: Asked if something was spicy was assured it was not, it was. Forgot my salad, I asked for ranch to subdue the spice got it after I had given up. Waited a considerable amount of time for refills. Desert was good but overall not impressed.

My food was delicious, the bar was hopping and the bartender was so nice and attentive to everyone.

Only half the restaurant was open for seating. Bartender was great even though we only ordered food. Sat at the bar due to no other tables available and at the suggestion of the hostess. Food was good but pricey for the area.

Came into restaurant and bar area was the only one open. Ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was like water, the Chicken Ceasar Wrap, Grilled Cheese and Sketti made everyone ill that evening and next day!! The Waite staff and Manager where not pleasant at all, they acted as if we had inconvenienced them!!

Got the Ribeye steak. Wasn't that great. Had to us a lot of steak sauce for flavor. The atmosphere made up for it. Nice employees.

Good service, good food, and good atmosphere here. We had some appetizers, a local draft, and steaks. Would definitely recommend this place and we will plan to be back. The waitress was very kind and gave prompt accurate service with good suggestions. No complaints from us!

Yummy food ? Excellent Service!! Cool & Clean Environment!!

Stopped here on the last leg of our trip home from Montana. This is not the Ground Round of our parent's era! The food was awesome as was our waitress, Julie K. We both had the chicken chimichanga. Hot, crispy and delicious. Loved the use of black beans, our favorite. Also impressed that they season the sour cream. Definitely worth a stop to try out a new era for Ground Round!!!

Service was excellent. (Courtney)Chicken tenders overdone.Fries onion rings good.Chimichanga tasteless.And, during Covid with reduced staff available everyone was placed in bar room. They could have used the dining room for some separation.

Great lunch... friendly and efficient...Burrito bowl had lots of yummy flavor,Nice bar area with TVs & friends enjoying each other over lunches... seems like a popular local go to place.

Friendly greeter met us at the door and we were seated right away. Menu had good choices at reasonable prices. I tried the Nachos under starters as my meal choice and it was huge and delicious! A great place to stop, would stop again! They thanked us when we left! ❤️
