“This was such a nice quiet place tucked away. The meal pictured was just 1 meal we split in half between the two of us. So it's safe to say they don't skimp on the portions. Our wait staff was very friendly and quick with our service. Would very much recommend this for those looking for a smaller town/mom and pop type atmosphere.“

“After reading the exceptional reviews, I decided to go and obtain my own opinion.... I can’t say enough positive things about the service at Olivette Diner – it was excellent! Ms. Melinda and Mr. Vince are polite and attentive, both go above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience – They genuinely care about their guests. “Grilled ham and cheese was fantastic. Nice thick ham!!! Wife had the chili dog especially liked that it was cut in half and grilled then chili added!!! Our kid devoured the grilled cheese and my mom loved the frito pie!!! Whenever we are in the area we will stop in again!! Staff very accommodating and friendly!!!!“

“This this is a classic, old-school, local diner. If it were 1985, it would look the same. That is a great thing for most of the patrons who appreciate the fast service and classic diner specialties. Two things that have become popular since the 80s that I wish they would have adopted, one, some form of egg white omelette because some people can’t eat egg yolks anymore. And second, thing such as like lemon for iced tea or water would be really great. But, their core food menu is what diners expect and they attract a regular local crowd. It’s a benefit to downtown maplewood,
to have a classic old diner that still plays music from a CD jukebox. Also worth mentioning, it appeals to people who like a good deal as the menu still represents reasonable pricing.“

“LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! came here for lunch and everything was delicious! the food came pretty fast and was not super expensive, which was great. the waitresses are extremely nice and funny. they definitely added a lot of fun to the experience. i did not feel unsafe in the restaurant at all, though outside the restaurant is a little bit sketchy. other than that, i fell in love with this place. definitely coming back here!!!“

“We only eat local when we travel, and this place was definitely worth the time. The staff are amazing, the service is off the chain, and the food was great. Don't come if your feelings get hurt easily. This just adds to an atmosphere that will have you leaving with a smile and, most likely, a good laugh.“
