Very disappointed. Something has changed in their buttercream icing. I have bought cakes for years from Harter’s. They changed the recipe, ingredients or brand. Not the same and not as good. Nothing special anymore. I will be going to Costco or Sam’s for better cake and less money. 😔

Got a sheet cake for the owner of the company I work for, for his 60th birthday. Got it with the white cake. Everyone said it was the most delicious cake they had ever had. Very velvety and moist. I highly recommend Harter Bakery! 5 stars all the way!!!

Ordered a customized cake last week when arrived today it was nothing like what I order. The lady showed me the cake slip when I told her I would have never ordered candy corn pumpkins, I ordered icing pumpkins. The whole cake and service was a big disappointment . Staff was not concerned about their mistake. We drive more than forty mile from IL to this bakery because my husband fell in love with it. Lost us as a customer. Very upsetting.
Great quality of pastries, I love the custard and cream filled ones and they really put a lot in them! Definitely recommend, this is my go-to bakery.

The cookies are always fresh and taste sooooo good. Their cakes and cupcakes are high quality and the flavor is amazing. Everything stays fresh for a few days which is great because I usually buy a bunch and take it back home to Nebraska with me and it will be fresh days later. All of the prices are sooo reasonable for the quality. I think the cookies are like $2 each? Maybe even cheaper! If you’re looking for a birthday cake or just a sweet treat, I highly recommend this place, it never disappoints!!
