This is the best sushi restaurant I've found in this area. We go often. The kimi roll and volcano roll are my favorites. Lychee martini is great, my husband preferred hot sake. Great food, great service.
I love miyabis food and have ordered takeout several times without incident, but recently sat in for the first time and it was probably one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We came for an early dinner on new years eve, we sat down at about 5:20, and we didn't leave until nearly about 8. Our sushi, soup, and salad arrived after about 35 min, but our hot entrees and appetizers didn't arrive until about 7:30, and one of the entrees was the entirely wrong dish so had to wait another 20 min. All the tables around us waited just as long, nobody sat down or left during the time we were there. Never once did management come and explain to everybody what the problem was or give any time frame, apology, comp or discount on the check. You get better service at Fuji sushi in imperial and they literally only have 2 people that work the restaurant.

Best sushi we have ever had! Ingredients were fresh, and everything tasted amazing. My husband and I had the Sushi lunch special and we each got three rolls of sushi that we chose for about $13 each including soup/salad and a drink. The salad had the most amazing creamy ginger dressing! The sushi rolls were excellent!

Food was amazing but the experience was kinda odd. We had a reservation for 6 but didn't get seated until almost 7, and didn't even get a Hibachi. They were busy, so it was understandable, but still kinda a bummer. Will definitely try again, though!

I have come back to Miyabi on a couple of different occasions hoping things would be better. I just ordered my last takeout from here and will not be back! It is worth it to me to drive another 10 or 15 minutes for quality Asian inspired food to spend my hard earned money on. Going out to eat is a treat for me so I expect greatness.
Every time I’ve come and ordered dishes with chicken, the chicken is precooked, diced white meat and dried out, not freshly sautéed and cooked tender. That alone ruins the meal for me!
This is more about the physical environment inside the restaurant. I have been here many time but as it turns out it had been only for hibachi until my last 3 times. My last few experiences were being seated at the front where you come in. All 3 times the exact same things happened to really turn me off. If was extremely cold and since we came later in the evening (about 1.5 hours until closing) they started cleaning very early. I certainly appreciate the attempt to clean, but the chemical smell each time was overwhelming and nauseating. I waited to put a review because of my previous good experiences at the hibachi. I will never come back closer to end of business again or be seated inside of it is not hibachi. You can expect people to be smelling chemicals while trying o have a nice night out. The 3rd time was the charm and I realized that this is just their process. I was sick each time. A business with customer service must have a model that does not include cleaning with chemical next to people who are trying to eat.

“You only have 2, you don’t need a reservation”
What the attendant said when I called to make a reservation.
I’m sat here waiting a half hour for a seat

I used to love coming here for special occasions and would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, things have changed, and not for the better. :( The food just isn’t the same quality as it used to be (hibachi). The chef was good but food not so much!!
The atmosphere, which used to feel cozy now feels neglected. The seating is worn out with torn upholstery, giving the place a rundown by. Feels dirty. Even the clientele has changed.
Overall, it’s sad to see such a decline in a place I once enjoyed so much. I hope management takes note and makes some much-needed improvements because it’s hard to keep coming back with things the way they are now.

We did a call ahead for 6:15, checked in at 5:40, checked in again at 6:10 was told another 30 minutes, finally 45 minutes later the host called us. As we walked to our table it was already taken by another party. They offered for us to wait for another 30 minutes. Last time we called ahead they had marked us off the list before we arrived. Very unfortunate that the host cannot keep the list straight.
