Awesome spot with beautiful views, delicious drinks and fantastic music.
Extremely rude owners and very trashy winery. Most wineries have nice scenery or something nice about them… NOT this one. Just very dirty and ugly… just like the service.
Got laughed at and made fun of because we asked for a bud light. So weird.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Beautiful and welcoming place! Great atmosphere. The owners are so friendly and fun to chat with. It’s our new favorite winery. All the wine is very good. We really enjoyed the pizza as well!
Wonder place to drink great wine that's made righ here, and also serve Wine and Bourbon slushies great to just hang out with people. Beautiful scenery and quiet!!
The winery is in a beautiful setting……….
Horrible signage and very easy to miss. If you want to drink wine, you better bring your own ice or a yeti wine cooler because they won’t give ICE. The owner told me it messes with the tables 🤷🏼♀️hmmm I guess a solution for that is just too much for them. If you want water or soda don’t expect ice with that.
You can’t bring in a a container (yeti) of water, that’s just not allowed instead you’ll have to buy thier overpriced bottled water with NO ICE.
Everywhere you turn your faced with restrictions and less than a warm attitude from the owners. They approach everything not from kindness or warm but instead with an attitude and rudeness.
While your there you feel constantly watched and monitored.
The wine is way more expensive than other winery’s and not worth the extra money.
This place just doesn’t compare to the other area winery’s in terms of warmth, charm, customer comforts, cost and just plain basics like ICE on a very hot day.
So if you ok with all that, this is the place for you. I’ll be heading Villa Antonia or Wild Sun
instead where they appreciate their customers and treat them with respect, and have tons of ICE.

I was leaving a farmers market in Imperial, and Siri said this was the closest Winery! Persimmon Ridge Winery didn't disappoint, and it was beautiful, spacious, and the people were friendly! It's worth the small drive to Barnhart, I can't wait to go back! It kind of reminds me of that movie with Keanu Reeves, A Walk In The Clouds from 1995!
We loved the atmosphere, wine, and pizza. We would definitely come back. It just has those nice, small town local vibes that are hard to find.
BEST WINERY IN THE AREA!!! If you can read English there are signs posted before entering that clearly say no outside beverages or liquids of any kind lol. Pretty obvious you wouldn’t take your own drinks into a restaurant or other eatery. This isn’t a major franchise, this is a locally owned small business. Support your local businesses!!!! $1 water isn’t expensive 🙄 . The owners work hard to keep their customers happy, that being said. A lot of the complaints I’m reading on here are common sense. This is a winery, not a playground.
Some of the best firestone pizzas made in the area, per Arch Eats podcast, they are in the top 5.
Wine SLUSHIES!! Lots of merch options too, for men and women. Live music. With a number of events hosted on weekends posted on their website. If you have any wondering thoughts if you should try this place out. Do it and find out for yourself. The drive back through the winding road, opening up to a tucked back away winery, hearing the music playing through the brisk fall air surrounded by the woods of color changing leaves falling….is all you need for a relaxing weekend full of laughs and a new hangout spot for you, your family or friends. Persimmon Ridge Winery, you won’t forget it.
Visited today for the first time and we will definitely be going back! You make fantastic dry reds, but oh man is your Norton one of the absolute best I have tried. it's flavor rich AND smooth! Also, the owners are very personable and pleasant to converse with.

My family and I have only been to this winery twice, once two years ago Labor Day weekend and then the second time was a couple of weekends ago. We will not be back. The guy who owns the winery is a dick needless to say.
The first time, we were there for maybe an hour if even that, and the owner decided to tell us he was closing up so he could go out to the lake fine and was pretty pushy about getting everyone out. That maybe should’ve been something to tell your customers when they got there instead of right when everyone is enjoying themselves, or just closed if you had plans.
Second time we had brought in tumblers of water because it was hot out, and my sister in law is also pregnant. The owner was immediately on us about not being able to have those even after explaining that they’re just water, ESPECIALLY my sister in law’s considering she’s pregnant. My sister in law asked if she could just dump out her tumbler of water and fill it with water we had to buy from them and he just ignored her and walked away. He didn’t get onto us or any other customer about bringing wine tumblers though. Makes no sense, definitely should not have a winery if you have terrible customer service.
First time here. Owners Bill and Angela were very nice. We went to listen to a friend perform. It was a perfect setting, is super charming and relaxing. The wine was tasty and the pizza is very good. The music by Dave Price was fabulous ! We will definitely return. The drive there added to the experience in a good way and by the way, their website specifically states their policy about beverages and food.
Persimmon Ridge Winery is a hidden gem!
We have been going to Persimmon Ridge Winery for years. It’s by far my favorite. I love Bill and Angela . They make you feel like family. The scenery is beautiful. It has a cozy feeling. Also it’s great we can pack a little picnic basket and enjoy with a few bottles of our favorite wines from the Ridge.
the most terrible wine i have ever tasted 🤮
Great flavors, the white ridge sweet was my favorite. Atmosphere is extremely serene and relaxed in the late morning/early afternoon. Bill and Angie are WONDERFUL hosts, great to converse with. Will definitely return. ??
