As a result of my pleasant visit after hearing people bash this place id give them more than 5 stars. This is my new favorite BBQ place. I was told by my buddy I looked feral tearing into ribs and brisket. HIGHLY recommend
Food is always great. My wife always gets beef and she is always happy. My ham and turkey is a little dry from time to time but the sauce makes it all better. Staff is super friendly. The interior could use some updates and ventilation you will smell like barbecue the rest of the day.
My grandma loved this place, but I haven't been here in 30 years bc I moved away. Back in town now and visited last Friday and the turkey sandwich was delicious! Fries are great too, but share them bc portion sizes are large. The atmosphere is "friendly farm country" with a few folks wearing overalls. 😁 The only thing tricky is the I70 exit in Bates City is different, so use your Google maps!
